Cody Rhodes has been undefeated while defending the TNT championship for months now, but it all came crashing down so fast on tonight’s (Aug. 22) episode of Dynamite.
The leader of the Dark Order, Mr. Brodie Lee, obliterated Cody right from the opening bell. This match was never close, and there was even a stretcher job afterwards.
After the match was over, the Dark Order then attacked Arn Anderson and threw Cody off the stretcher. Brodie smashed Cody over the head with a bag filled with the pieces of the old TNT championship. Brandi came out to check on her husband, and she was choked out by the Dark Order’s Anna Jay.

Cody needed an opponent for All Out, and while nothing is official yet, this angle certainly seems to make Cody’s direction clear for AEW’s pay-per-view on Sept. 5.
