Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week’s nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - the Aug. 10 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday’s Impact & Dark, Dynamite & NXT from Weds., Aug. 12, SmackDown & 205 Live on Friday, and any other televised or internet streaming wrestling that aired from Aug. 9 - 15, 2020.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
Congrats... or whatever.
- Contrasting styles between last week’s top two. One doesn’t say much, even if he did win for a debate performance. The other doesn’t shut up, but he got votes for punting a guy. They probably both like Fast & Furious flicks, though.
- A slightly-less-than-usual-this-year number of women in the top ten, starting with NXT’s new #1 contender, followed close behind by SmackDown’s Daddy. The Two Woman Power Trip are represented, natch.
- Two Beltz was well ahead of Dos Straps, however, tied for fifth with the latest qualifier for the North American title match at TakeOver.
- AEW’s World champ defended his strap, and was their only other representative in the top ten. He edged out Raw’s men’s titleholders, here for verbally shooting on Randy Orton and ending any confusion about who’s the U.S. champion.
