AEW released their latest rankings (Aug. 12, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Scorpio Sky is moving on up. He cracked the rankings at #5. Darby Allin exited after his loss to Jon Moxley in a title match last week.
Being ranked this week should bode well for Sky’s immediate future no matter the outcome against Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship tonight on Dynamite. Being ranked is not a necessary criteria to challenge Cody. A win would obviously be huge for Sky, but a loss shouldn’t do too much harm to keep him out of big fights in the coming weeks. It would only take a victory or two to get back in the top 5. Lance Archer has been looking for a fight. I could see Sky being his next feud with the winner sliding in for a title shot after the All Out PPV.

No changes for the women this week.
Tag Team:

No movement in the tag team rankings this week.
The Young Bucks have a match against the Dark Order, and Jurassic Express will wrestle Hangman Page & Kenny Omega for the tag titles on Dynamite as part of tag team appreciation night. Assuming Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus lose, that should open a spot for #5. I think the Gunn Club or Butcher & Blade could be ranked next week. Billy and Austin are undefeated, but B&B have higher quality wins. Both may need to pad their record with another win next week on Dark.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
