The build to Kross vs. Lee continues to be perfect

@WWENXT

NXT’s build to Keith Lee vs. Karrion Kross continues to knock it out of the park.

Last week, Lee had to watch as Kross beat a helpless Dominik Dijakovic who insisted Keith not throw in the proverbial towel. Karrion relished that.

This week, the NXT champion was pissed.

He marched to the ring without his upbeat attitude but instead with focused purpose. Then he cut a promo that conveyed that he’s been pushed to a level that he doesn’t often get pushed to. He referred to Dijakovic by his indie name “Dijak,” surely a way to get across that this was real to him. He also dropped the word bullshit twice (with it being censored).

Keith was tired of games. He wanted Kross to face him like a man.

He got Cameron Grimes instead, who ran his mouth but got goozled for flapping his gums. That’s when Kross’ herald Scarlett appeared. With Lee distracted, Grimes tried to jump him but took a massive Spirit Bomb for his attempts.

Kross then appeared on the video tron and needled the champ for watching his friend get hurt last week. He told Keith that he could give him his title shot or more people are going to get hurt.

But Lee didn’t need any more convincing to face this man. He immediately accepted.

The match has not yet been made official, but likely will sooner or later.

Once again, NXT nailed Karrion Kross & Scarlett’s overall presentation and has told a personal story that makes this upcoming title match one of the more anticipated in recent memory.
