AEW released their latest rankings (July 29, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

No changes for the men this week. MJF is surrounded by big boys in spots 2 through 4 with Lance Archer, Brian Cage, and Mr. Brodie Lee. I’m curious if AEW will make MJF earn a title shot by having him wrestle one of their resident hosses. We all know Cody Rhodes would enjoy seeing MJF’s road to gold be a touch tougher.

Say sayonara to the injured Kris Statlander and say howdy to Abadon. The ghoul cracked the top 5 for the first time with a two fight win streak. She’ll need to snack on more souls before earning a rematch with Hikaru Shida.
Britt Baker moved up a spot to #4. She is headed for a highly ranked showdown with Big Swole at All Out on September 5. The Michael Jordan of AEW deserves only big matches.

The Young Bucks swapped spots with Jurassic Express after their win against Butcher & Blade combined with a loss from the dino duo to the Inner Circle. The Jackson brothers inch closer to a title shot, which could be expedited if the Dark Order can take the straps from Hangman Page & Kenny Omega tonight on Dynamite. Santana & Ortiz picked up a big three-way victory over Private Party and SCU on Dark, but their 3-3 record isn’t enough to pass by Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen.
FTR is 4-0 and still looking on from the outside. They have a gripe for not being ranked. It should start to become a talking point, since they are in AEW to win the tag titles. I would not be surprised if the Young Bucks secretly use their executive vice president powers to make sure FTR is downgraded.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
