AEW Fallout: Eddie Kingston in tears, Dr. Britt Baker’s nose surgery, more!

The big stories coming out of Dynamite (July 22, 2020) were Cody Rhodes fighting Eddie Kingston and thumbtacks to defend the TNT Championship, Dr. Britt Baker DMD being the Michael Jordan of AEW, and the surprise return of Sammy Guevara. The fallout includes Kingston in tears, footage of Dr. Baker’s nose being fixed, MJF doing the work with his crotch cam, a few new team names, and other goodies.

Eddie Kingston fought to hold back the tears in his post-match interview. He was crushed by the loss to Cody Rhodes, but he will learn from it.

Kingston’s raw emotion hammers home the sports presentation of AEW. This was his big opportunity to change his life with the prestige and money of winning the TNT Championship. Cody was the better man, and it left Kingston feeling crushed in the aftermath. Anyone who has played sports can relate to that moment. I also like how Kingston explained that he chose to have nothing else in life besides professional wrestling. That shows how serious he has dedicated himself to the sport.

Dr. Britt Baker DMD shared her support for Kingston.

Speaking of Baker’s broken nose, enjoy this clip of it being hammered back into place.

MJF is doing the work as he awaits a future AEW World Championship shot due to being ranked #1.

That crotch cam confirms his bulge rating of 100.

AEW announced an 8-team women’s tournament. Unfortunately, it looks like Kris Statlander won’t be ready to participate. She has been missing time while recovering from a knee injury. That also means Hikaru Shida may not participate without her alien mate.

Here is an amusing tweet from Cody without any context.

The background is a pretend feud with Guy Fieri over TV ratings. In other food and drink news, Chris Jericho’s A Little Bit of the Bubbly beverage has officially sold out the stock of 40,000 bottles.

We’ll close with news on team names. Taz dubbed his crew as Team Taz. T-shirts are available with the slogan, “We build assassins.” Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler also have an official team name. They will now be known as The Initiative. It was revealed by AEW on the video announcing the line-up for Tuesday’s Dark. I haven’t yet discovered an official explanation about this new moniker.

What was your reaction to Kingston’s promo? Did you flinch at Dr. Baker’s nose video? Do you agree with Cody’s claim that he is Flavortown? Do you like the new team names?
