It sounds like Darby Allin has a concussion

On last night’s (July 22) episode of Dynamite, Darby Allin interrupted Taz and Brian Cage during a promo in the ring. On Allin’s way to the ring, Ricky Starks attacked him from behind and sent him flying dangerously head-first into the ropes.

On Wresting Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez claims that Allin was concussed as a result of the Starks’ aggression:

“This poor guy. Darby makes his big return. He’s coming down to the ring, and Ricky Starks runs up and he hit him so hard from behind. And Darby flies into the top rope. His head snaps back on the top rope. He goes down like he’s dead. I watched this over and over again. Apparently Darby got a concussion from this attack from behind. Absolutely brutal. I like Ricky Starks, but I have no idea what this guy was thinking. He just ran this dude over from behind.”

After Starks smashed Allin from behind, Allin was then hit with three high impact moves in quick order, including two powerbombs from Cage. Jon Moxley came out for the save and eventually picked Darby up to his feet, but Allin fell back into the ropes for support while placing his hand on his forehead.

This angle was used to set up a Tornado match next week (July 29) on Dynamite with Moxley & Allin taking on Cage & Starks. If Alvarez is correct about Allin suffering a concussion, that match may be in jeopardy.
