MLW Roundup: Satoshi Kojima on Anthology, Myron Reed’s new rap song, more!

Let’s catch up on this week’s news in MLW and preview Saturday night’s episode of MLW Anthology.

Satoshi Kojima on MLW Anthology

This week’s episode of MLW Anthology focuses on MLW’s first World Heavyweight Champion, Satoshi Kojima. Featured bouts include title fights against Jerry Lynn and Johnny Smith.

(Ignore “next week” in the tweet. It is from last week.)

Kojima is proud of his time with MLW.

I’m excited for this show, since I’ve never witnessed Kojima in the ring before. He was ranked third in the 2005 PWI 500. The action should be exciting. I hope there is a scene of Kojima eating bread.

MLW’s weekly program (Fusion and Anthology) airs on beIN SPORTS Saturday nights at 10 pm ET / 7 pm ET. New episodes are posted on YouTube Saturdays at 6:05 pm ET. Fusion is broadcast in over 20 countries.

Quick hits

If you missed the big news from the latest Pulp Fusion, Injustice has a new member. Myron Reed and Jordan Oliver introduced Saieve Al Sabah. That wasn’t the only thing Reed has been working on. He dropped a sample of a new song from the album Bangers 4Ever. Language warning.

Bangers 4Ever will be released June 12.

Pick up new Injustice gear for a good cause.

MLW rescheduled two events from July due to the coronavirus pandemic. The July 16 event from New York City has been moved to February 4. The July 18 event from Philadelphia has been moved to December 5. Those were the final shows planned prior to the coronavirus outbreak. The next potential live date is October 8 from Dallas, which is a show that also had to be rescheduled earlier this year.

Alexander Hammerstone surpassed the one-year mark as National Openweight Champion. He won the belt back on June 1, 2019. Hammer almost missed that match in Milwaukee when his flight from Arizona was delayed due to bad weather. Luckily, he showed up just in time to compete.

Tom Lawlor has been getting extra training during his time off.

I don’t know what conjugate tactical means. After Lawlor’s conversation with Dominic Garrini about the ladies a week ago on Pulp Fusion, it makes me wonder if Lawlor is now a certified instructor of conjugal visits.

We’ll close with an enjoyable promo from Mance Warner. He made his own bar to do some drinking and thinking, but mostly drinking. Language warning.

Grab a fancy glass, pop a cold and crisp beer, and enjoy tonight’s MLW Anthology.
