NXT brings back the Great American Bash

First it was bringing back In Your House for their last TakeOver, now NXT is bringing back the Great American Bash for next week’s episode.

It seems apropos to dust off this name just days before the Forth of July. It also serves as counter programming for AEW’s Fyter Fest. Not to mention AEW has used another old WCW Bash months back with Bash at the Beach, so these names are in high demand.

The show is going to be headlined by a #1 contender’s fatal 4-way for the Women’s championship between Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Mia Yim, & Tegan Nox.

Also, Roderick Strong will face Dexter Lumis in NXT’s first ever strap match.

And in more of a comedic match, Robert Stone and Aliyah face Rhea Ripley in a handicap match. If Rhea loses, she has to join the Robert Stone Brand.

The real event is two weeks from now with a big North American title vs. NXT title match between Keith Lee & Adam Cole, but NXT is trying to put up strong shows against both nights of AEW’s Fyter Fest.
