AEW Rankings (June 24, 2020): Rise of the Machine

AEW released their latest rankings (June 24, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Men:

AEW

The Machine has risen. Brian Cage is now ranked. He popped up into the #2 slot after being unranked. I had a feeling AEW would slide him into the top 5 before his title fight against Jon Moxley at Fyter Fest, but I was not expecting him to leapfrog so many people in one week.

The undefeated Kenny Omega was bounced out. That may be a sign that AEW plans on having Hangman Page & Omega remain tag champs for the foreseeable future. Or at least until the All Out PPV on September 5.

Women:

AEW

A big welcome to Big Swole for crashing the top 5. She enters at #3, while Yuka Sakazaki has finally been removed from the rankings after months of inactivity. Penelope Ford moved up one spot to #2 before her championship opportunity against Hikaru Shida at Fyter Fest. Kris Statlander dropped from #2 to #4, and Britt Baker was dumped one spot after being dumped in a dumpster.

Tag Team:

AEW

The tag team rankings were also shuffled around. The Dark Order switched places with the Natural Nightmares after QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes lost their title match to Hangman & Omega. A win by the Young Bucks over Blade & Butcher propelled them up two spots to #3 to flip with Private Party. The Best Friends remain at #1 after defending their contendership against Le Sex Gods. Trent and Chuck Taylor will wrestle the champs at Fyter Fest.

Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
