In what would seem to be the end - at least for the next several weeks - of a rapidly developing story, All Elite Wrestling has taken action against Sammy Guevara for a vile comment about Sasha Banks made on a 2016 podcast.
Guevara apologized, and Banks acknowledged she’d spoken to him about the situation. Now, AEW is suspending their 26 year old rising star without pay. He’s agreed to undergo sensitivity training, and they’ll revisit his status when he’s completed that.

This is in line with AEW’s public statements about an inclusive workplace, but takes a harsher tone than the one they issued about Jimmy Havoc last week. That statement mentioned the sexual abuse allegations which were made against Havoc during the initial days of the #SpeakingOut movement, but did not “strongly condemn” them.
