AEW Fallout: Allie’s harsh criticism of Dustin Rhodes, Cabana’s rationale to join Mr. Brodie, more!

The big stories coming out of Dynamite (June 17, 2020) were Orange Cassidy attacking Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes defending the TNT Championship against Ricky Starks, Britt Baker having a wild night, and the Natural Nightmares coming up short in their title opportunity against Hangman Page & Kenny Omega. Fallout from the show includes Allie speaking her mind to Dustin Rhodes, Colt Cabana explaining the offer from Mr. Brodie Lee, TNT being angry at Tony Schiavone, as well as other goodies.

After QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes lost in their tag title match, Allie had harsh criticism for Dustin.

Is it just me or does it feel like Dustin is blaming QT for the loss? That’s messed up. QT took a lot of punishment to be pinned. It wasn’t like he rolled over at the first sign of a struggle. Allie was right that Dustin wasn’t there when QT needed him. Of course, Allie addressed Dustin quite rudely, but she did have a point. Allie turning her attitude around when Brandi stepped up was quite humorous. I love this soap opera. Time to photoshop Allie and Brandi together as sisters.

Colt Cabana explained his rationale for accepting Mr. Brodie Lee’s offer to tag next week against Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss.

That’s an excellent promo from Cabana. He does a great job of making professional wrestling feel like a sport. With that perspective, how could he pass up a spot to be featured on national television? Being on TNT equals exposure and money.

The promo really hits well when Cabana discusses his fear of being fired after losing high-profile matches. Job insecurity is something the majority of people can relate to. Cabana just became a sympathetic character and easy to root for.

Good news on the Dr. Britt Baker DMD front. In an update to the AEW Rewind where Baker was denied a motivational tweet from Cody Rhodes, she finally received well wishes from Cody on her recovery after being ignored for so long. I guess she can cross him off the list of conspirators.

Leave it to Brandi to stir the pot though.

Baker’s night didn’t end so well after she was abducted by Big Swole and deposited into a dumpster. The heat for that may be put on Tony Schiavone by AEW’s broadcast partner.

Hikaru Shida was pleased to learn that she will defend the Women’s Championship against Penelope Ford at Fyter Fest. She resorted to the use of salty language to show her excitement.
