Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will walk into Fyter Fest as the AEW tag team champions

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page opened tonight’s (June 17) episode of Dynamite with a defense of their AEW tag titles against the Natural Nightmares, Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall.

Brandi Rhodes was ringside to support the Nightmares, but Allie was not there because Dustin Rhodes says she is a distraction.

The beginning of the match was overshadowed by Britt Baker passing notes to Tony Schiavone:

Later on, after Dustin Rhodes bounced around the ring like a madman, Allie came out to root for Marshall. Shortly after that, QT Marshall was hit by The Last Call, which got the win for Page and Omega.

No obvious angle came from Allie’s appearance, but there’s still plenty of time tonight for that to change.

Looking ahead, Omega and Page will now walk into Fyter Fest on July 1 as the AEW tag team champions, where they will face either the Best Friends or Le Sex Gods (Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara).

Did you ever think the Natural Nightmares really had a shot here? They’ve barely accomplished anything as a team on Dynamite so it always seemed like an uphill battle.
