Beat jobbers on Dark, get tag title shot on Dynamite

AEW has announced five different matches for next week’s (June 17) episode of Dynamite.

The one match that came out of nowhere is the Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall) getting a shot at the AEW tag team titles, when they do battle with Kenny Omega and Hangman Page.

I guess beating jobbers on Dark pays off in the form of a championship match, because that’s how the Natural Nightmare’s 5-0 record in 2020 has largely been built. This bout was announced in a backstage segment where Marshall giving a Nightmare family jacket to Allie didn’t go over so well with Dustin and Brandi.

Here’s the full lineup of what AEW has in store for next week’s Dynamite:

• Omega & Page vs. Natural Nightmares (AEW tag team championship match)
• Cody vs. ????? (TNT championship match)
• Le Sex Gods (Jericho & Guevara) vs. Best Friends (winner gets tag team championship match at Fyter Fest)
• Young Bucks vs. Superbad Death Squad (Sabian & Havoc)
• Billy vs. MJF

Nothing has been announced for the women’s division yet, so we’ll have to see how they follow up on Penelope Ford pinning the women’s champion, Hikaru Shida, in a tag team match tonight.
