AEW Rankings (June 10, 2020): Return of Le Champion

AEW released their latest rankings (June 10, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Men:

AEW

Yeow! Chris Jericho is back, baby! Le Champion replaced Darby Allin in the 5 spot. Jericho defeated Colt Cabana last week on Dynamite. If Jericho has championship aspirations, he has some big men to go through. I don’t anticipate AEW going with heel vs heel matchups, but Jericho versus Archer and the Inner Circle versus the Dark Order would make for interesting TV.

As for tonight on Dynamite, Cody Rhodes will defend his TNT Championship against Marq Quen. That seems to be the only singles bout that could have ramifications on the top 5.

Women:

AEW

No changes this week. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander wrestle Nyla Rose & Penelope Ford tonight on Dynamite. If Statlander could pin The Native Beast, then maybe the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien could rocket to the top spot next week.

Tag Team:

AEW

SCU replaced Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian at #4. That is prime bullshit. Two weeks ago, the Superbad Death Squad defeated SCU heads up. Havoc & Sabian went on to lose a title match against Hangman Page & Kenny Omega, while SCU padded their record against a couple of jabrones on Dark. Havoc & Sabian deserve to still be ahead of SCU.

Of course, the precious Young Bucks still have to be ranked or else the world would fall apart. With FTR debuting tonight against Butcher & Blade, I hope FTR ends up being the ones to knock the Bucks out of the top 5. That would give FTR bragging rights as their feud with the Bucks percolates.

Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
