Let’s catch up on this week’s news in MLW and preview Saturday night’s episode of Fusion.
Psycho Clown in the house
The Super Series between MLW and AAA culminates tonight from Tijuana, Mexico. MLW currently has the scoreboard lead 4-3. It all boils down to one final match for MLW to clinch or AAA to tie.
MLW will be represented by Los Parks. LA Park will wrestle in trios action with his sons, Hijo de LA Park and LA Park Jr. AAA’s squad will be captained by Psycho Clown. He handpicked Psicosis and Niño Hamburguesa to answer LA Park’s personal challenge. Yes, that’s the same Psicosis from WCW and WWE. If this is your first time seeing Hamburguesa, you should enjoy him. He is a rotund fellow that has one of the most fun movesets in lucha libre.
This is a tough match to pick. Psycho Clown is the biggest star of the bunch, however, LA Park is in that same stratosphere of fame in Mexico. Psycho is no stranger to defeat in trios action despite his status. Los Parks should have the teamwork advantage given that they are family and frequently tag together. Psycho’s team is a random pairing. While it could be argued as a lock for AAA to tie the Super Series, I’m not counting out LA Park. He’s bad to the bone.
The preview teases Davey Boy Smith Jr. demanding action from the Contra Unit for a contract against Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu, Mance Warner challenging the Dynasty, the Dynasty searching for a meth-gator in Tennessee, and Pagano promising chaos.
Who are you picking to win the trios main event? Which of the six will steal the show?
MLW Fusion airs on beIN SPORTS Saturday nights at 9 pm ET / 6 pm ET, or 10 pm ET on some weeks. New episodes are posted on YouTube Saturdays at 6:05 pm ET. Fusion is broadcast in over 20 countries.
Quick hits
CEO Court Bauer dreamed up publicity by pondering if Mike Tyson would take an exhibition match in MLW.
My all time favorite @MikeTyson is considering an exhibition fight? I'm 100% down to see this BUT what I really would like to see is Tyson finally get in the wrestling ring. @MLW would love to promote that match and in the process help some charities. How about it, Iron Mike?

Davey Boy Smith Jr., Low Ki, and pretty much every wrestler on the roster threw their name into the mix. The winner in my eyes comes courtesy of Josef Samael. He paints a picture involving Jacob Fatu that is too good to pass up.
TYSON vs FATU is the match...and we all know how that ends, I fireball Tyson and Fatu eats both of his ears off.

Iron Mike in MLW is an extreme long shot, but I can’t fault Bauer for shooting to the stars. You never know what could happen. Tyson may not step in the ring, but what if he appeared on, “!LA Park en la cocina, pendejos!”

MLW continues to churn out deals to increase their TV footprint. The latest is with Fight Globe. “The multi-year agreement will see Fight Globe represent the distribution of MLW programming in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa as well as Canada and Mexico.”
If you missed the news earlier this week, MLW has postponed the next opportunity for a TV taping. Intimidation Games was supposed to take place June 12 in Chicago. Upcoming scheduled dates for new TV are July 16 in New York City and July 18 in Philadelphia. We’ll probably find out in June if those two July shows get postponed as well.
We’ll close with an update from Ikuro Kwon. The Contra Unit member has been sidelined with a leg injury. Caution: This video may be gross to you.
