Brodie Lee stole the AEW world championship from Jon Moxley

AEW’s next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, is right around the corner on May 23. The card needed a challenger for AEW world champion Jon Moxley, so it seemed likely that AEW would run an angle on Dynamite tonight (May 23) to determine that opponent.

After wrestling a long and grueling match against Kazarian tonight, Moxley emerged as the winner. The AEW world champion didn’t have any time to celebrate though, because seven members of the Dark Order stormed the ring and beat the hell out of him.

Brodie Lee then came out and cut a promo on Moxley, formally issuing a challenge for the gold.

Moxley called him “Dude” before accepting the challenge, and the 7-on-1 assault continued. Mr. Brodie then grabbed the belt and left with Moxley’s property in his possession.

Brodie Lee debuted roughly one month ago in AEW and has only wrestled squash matches thus far. Do you think he makes sense as Jon Moxley’s next challenger?
