This week’s Being The Elite (embedded above) is a long one. So if you don’t want to sit through the 35 minutes of episode 205, “Stadium Stampede” - here are the 2 or 3 things you might hear your wrestling fan pals talking about around the virtual water cooler:
1. It opens with Matt pitching Nick on some familiar-looking gear for Double or Nothing:

2. The Vanguard 1 Memorial Service that starts at ~7:08 has several laugh out loud moments. Kaz & Cody steal the show for me, but pretty much everyone involved gets a good line or reaction shot.
3. It ends with a scene that provides some backstory on Hangman Page being pretty much back in The Elite during last Saturday’s main event, and features an appearance by a villainous old friend...
The joke is Page & The Bucks are so focused on game-planning for Inner Circle they never look up and think Marty Scurll is the bellhop delivering their room service (or “British waitress,” as Nick calls him). So it’s probably just a one-off to pop the regulars. Or it could the start of a long storyline building to an ROH invasion angle... you never know with BTE.
Our man Manolo will be along with a full episode recap in his weekly AEW Rewind feature. But we didn’t want you to miss out on these 2 - 3 things before then.
Now let’s have a moment of silence for Vanguard 1. Even from atheists like Cody.
