MLW Roundup: Mance Warner Anthology, Dynasty member re-signed, more!

Let’s catch up on this week’s news in MLW and preview Saturday night’s episode of MLW Anthology. Ole Mancer is bringing light beers and lariats, the carnage from Contra has been updated, and a member of the Dynasty has re-signed.

Mancethology

Mance Warner is the topic du jour of this week’s MLW Anthology. Or, to borrow a phrase from MLW, Mancethology.

The featured action will include Warner’s debut with MLW, the Loser Leaves MLW bout against Sami Callihan, and the no ropes barbed wire match against Jimmy Havoc. If you enjoy violence, then you will enjoy this episode.

The show will close with the new Roll Call feature. Last week, Myron Reed teased Injustice reinforcements to fight Contra. This week, Reed has teased that we won’t have to wait long to find out about his new associates.

While you’re waiting for Anthology, head over to MLW Shop and check out their 20% off sale.

MLW’s weekly program (Fusion and Anthology) airs on beIN SPORTS Saturday nights at 10 pm ET / 7 pm ET. New episodes are posted on YouTube Saturdays at 6:05 pm ET. Fusion is broadcast in over 20 countries.

Quick hits

Contra’s takeover of MLW will go down in their history books as the, “One-Day War.” Contra has made several demands.

League sources have indicated CONTRA has a “lengthy” list of demands ranging from the league wiring large sums of money, signing over the rights to legally own and operate the league among other outrageous requests.

I wouldn’t be surprised if one of those outrageous requests is a private concert from Sinéad O’Connor for Josef Samael.

The full damage report has been released in terms of injuries to talent when Contra struck down in Tijuana.

  • Davey Boy Smith Jr.: Concussion; spinal fracture.
  • Pagano: Multiple rib fractures, dislocated shoulder. Out indefinitely.
  • Kotto Brazil: 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree burns to face and torso. To permanently cease wrestling in MLW.
  • Konnan: Contusions to solar plexus. Day-to-day.
  • Psycho Clown: Ocular damage. Return uncertain.
  • Hijo de LA Park: Bruised clavicle. Day-to-day.
  • Brian Pillman Jr.: Incommunicado; status unknown.
  • Douglas James: Stitches to back and elbow. Medically cleared pending removal of stitches.
  • Zenshi: Multiple dental fractures. 180-day medical suspension pending clearance from oral and maxillofacial doctor.

Aside from these issues with Contra, it doesn’t sound like MLW will return for live events anytime soon. Their stance about the coronavirus is toward safety.

“Testing, treatment and the road to immunity in some form will dictate the league’s path to re-opening,” Dr. Nelson Sweglar mused. “Until we have that, we must exercise patience. The science will dictate the timeline for the league’s return.”

When MLW does finally return, key cogs of their roster should still be on board. CEO Court Bauer revealed that MLW locked down two current talents to new deals.

Soon after, news broke that Richard Holliday was one of those signings. He secured a new multi-year deal. Holliday commented:

“Anytime you’re making a decision for your future, all aspects in regards to it must be considered. MLW checked all of the boxes in terms of opportunity, presentation, creative process, and upwards mobility. Other offers were presented, and of course taken into consideration, but remaining with MLW felt like the best decision for me.”

Holliday is also opening up his own coffee brand, Dynastic Coffee.

MLW.com can confirm Holliday is taking zoom meetings with several potential investors interested in buying Dynastic Coffee franchises in the US and abroad.

Holliday is promising “dynastic quality coffee beans from the Caribbean” as a strategic advantage over the competition in the coffee space.

The demands of the Dynasty never end. Holliday is still requesting that MLW officially recognize his possession of the Caribbean Championship. Alexander Hammerstone has a unique desire.

Bauer also teased a new deal, which is believed to be related to streaming.

MLW.com penned a retrospective article about CM Punk’s time with the promotion. Punk is considered MLW’s first renegade.

We’ll close with some quality content from Hammerstone and his furry friend.

Dynastic dog, bro.
