DGUSA Enter the Dragon 2010 poster World Wrestling Network

Welcome back to the Sermon on the Mat, your weekly one-stop shop for news from the wider world of wrestling beyond the big cable TV monoliths that get all the coverage.

Indie wrestling is still shut down from the pandemic and everything sucks, but hey, I’m still comin’ at you with all the freebies that I can find!

Plus, a number of streaming services and Twitch channels are offering a constant stream of material for you that’s hard for me to include in the listing, so make sure to check ‘em out—

Free matches here!

DGUSA Enter the Dragon 2010

This week’s Club WWN greatest hits freebie is a doozie, friends. Danielson vs. Shingo. ‘Nuff said!

IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship Playlist

From our friends over at Beyond, they’ve made some killer additions to their playlist of all the defenses of the IWTV title they’ve hosted, including a must-see Jonathan Gresham defense against “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush!

Team International (Charli Evans, Indi Hartwell, Jessica Troy, Shazza McKenzie, & Zoe Lucas) vs. Team USA (Jordynne Grace, Kylie Rae, Nicole Savoy, Samantha Heights, & Solo Darling)

And we start our individual matches section with our friends over at Black Label Pro bringing us the heat! It was the United States against the world at Adventures in Wrestling last year, with Jordynne Grace captaining the American team and Shazza McKenzie leading the rest of the world to battle, enjoy!

Matt Tremont vs. Sugar Dunkerton

You know him as Pineapple Pete on AEW Dynamite, and now our friends at Beyond have uploaded Suge dipping his toes into the ultraviolence against modern-day deathmatch legend Matt Tremont, check it out!

Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero M & Rey Fenix) vs. Mistico II & Rush

Our first of several +LuchaTV matches this week, as they just keep uploading the good stuff lately. It’s a war of the brothers as Penta and Fenix take on Mistico and Rush, check it out!

Bandido vs. El Hijo del Fantasma

The hits keep coming as +LuchaTV and Lucha Real team up to bring us some action from Arena Azteca Budokan featuring two of the hypest singles in the land.

Matt Cross vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Ninja vs. Xtreme Tiger

And we’re finishing up our +LuchaTV run with four-way fire from a while back! Legends Cross and Mysterio are right in the heat of it against Ultimo “Humberto Carrillo” Ninja and Xtreme “Tigre Uno” Tiger, enjoy!

Drew Gulak vs. Tommaso Ciampa (Submission Match)

From our friends over at Beyond, we’ve got a match that I don’t think I need to sell at all. Two titans of technical wrestling go to war in a submission match, don’t miss it!

Daniel Garcia vs. Oswald Project

Speaking of technical titans, Limitless Wrestling bring us a match featuring the Red Death himself, so check it out!

Marko Stunt vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman

The fine folks at Glory Pro bring you a match that has retroactively become an AEW bombshell and quite possibly future world title match, a nice reminder that the indies are where you go for wrestling that’s ahead of the curve. Enjoy!

Braxton Sutter vs. “Psycho” Mike Rollins (What’s in the Box Match)

From Smash Wrestling up in Canada, we’ve got another one of their matches with commentary from Psycho Mike himself and Scott Hunter to walk you through it.

Charlie Morgan vs. Sammii Jayne

Last but not least, a freebie from EVE for y’all, and... uh... just look at the thumbnail, holy hell.

As always...

Remember folks, no matter what type of wrestling you like, no matter how down you feel about the state of WWE, Impact, ROH, or any other “big-time” pro wrestling, there’s something out there for you. There’s a pro wrestling product that can hit you in the right spot and make you love wrestling like you thought you’d never be able to love it again. It’s there, I promise. You just gotta reach out and find it, and that, my friends, is what the Sermon on the Mat is all about.
