Episode 31 of AEW Dark featured Jimmy Havoc in action and the Best Friends giving the people what they want.
Here’s the lineup with ratings (watch, solid, okay, pass) on which matches are worth your time:
- Shawn Dean vs Jimmy Havoc (okay)
- Musa & Lee Johnson vs Best Friends (okay)
Both matches were pretty much squashes. If you are a fan of Jimmy Havoc or the Best Friends, then you’ll enjoy their matches.

Tony Schiavone welcomed us to the broadcast. His partner at the commentary table was Cody Rhodes. Dasha Gonzalez was the ring announcer.
Shawn Dean vs Jimmy Havoc
After a feeling out process, Havoc hooked in an arm submission while working the fingers. That led to a ripcord clothesline then a fisherman’s DDT to win.

Musa & Lee Johnson vs Best Friends
For the most part, the Best Friends dominated. The finish began with a slingshot plancha by Trent to Musa. Trent then rounded the corner to spear Johnson on the floor. Back in the ring, Taylor hit a big knee to Musa. Best Friends executed an Eat The Feet into snap suplex combo to Musa.

Strong Zero on Musa gave Best Friends the win.
This episode of Dark was a little of a tease toward Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian against the Best Friends in no DQ action on Dynamite. There was no interaction between Havoc and the Best Friends. Everyone was professional and handled their business.
The only thing that stuck out to me is Havoc winning with a fisherman’s DDT. Instead of finishing with the Acid Rainmaker, he used that ripcord clothesline as a set-up move. I like the DDT better as Havoc’s closing move. He doesn’t have giant meat hooks to really clobber people on a clothesline.
Share you thoughts on Dark. Who stood out most for episode 31? Do you prefer the fisherman’s DDT or Acid Rainmaker as Jimmy Havoc’s finisher?
