AEW released their latest rankings (Apr. 24, 2020) earlier than usual. This is the second set for this week. Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

The men’s rankings earlier this week had a big shake-up with a new #1. This latest batch also makes news. Chris Jericho has been dumped from the top 5.
Jericho was #2, but it appears that his inactivity has caught up to him. Kenny Omega moved up from #3 to #2. The man to take Le Champion’s top 5 slot is Darby Allin. He popped in at #3, propelled by a win over Sammy Guevara in the TNT Championship tournament. In a puzzling pick, Lance Archer and Jake Hager switched spots even though neither wrestled on Dynamite. It looks like the Inner Circle is on the receiving end of a screwjob.
More movement should be expected in the next edition of the rankings after #1 Cody vs #3 Darby and #4 Archer vs Dustin Rhodes in the tournament semifinals on Wednesday night’s Dynamite.
With Double or Nothing less than one month away on May 23, this top 5 should shed light on who is likely to be Jon Moxley’s next challenger for the AEW World Championship. Kenny Omega seems to have the inside track. The TNT Championship final is also scheduled for Double or Nothing, so that will remove two top-ranked wrestlers from Moxley’s mix. The only other potential contender I can envision climbing the ladder is Mr. Brodie Lee, but he needs tougher opponents to build his resume.

No shifts in this go around. Best Friends will get a chance to bump past the Young Bucks when they compete against Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc on Dynamite.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
