An on-going story in NXT have been wrestlers getting abducted in the parking lot after matches.
Both Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde were taken into an SUV by men wearing luchador masks. Coincidentally (maybe) enough, both men had just lost to Kushida.
Tony Nese lost to Kushida tonight, but that man can’t even get kidnapped right. Instead, the masked men targeted El Hijo de Fantasma, who won his first NXT match against Jack Gallagher.
When he was cutting a promo in the parking lot, the SUV drove up on him. But the luchador was ready, immediately fighting the masked men. The kidnappers immediately called off the abduction and fled.

This was all a bit suspicious.
El Hijo de Fantasma was actually the prime suspect in the minds of many. Now that he’s an attempted victim, it should clear his name, right? Wrong.
First off, this is wrestler. There are plenty of instances of wrestlers who take a beating to try to convince others they’re not the evil mastermind. Also, these kidnappers gave up really easy. Fantasma landed a couple blows and suddenly, they decide to bail? I’m not yet buying it.
What do you think? Does this absolve Fantasma? Let us know below.
