Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that “it is said to be up to Roman Reigns when he returns” from his absence. No one knows when that might be, however.
  • According to PW Insider, WWE initially planned to tape every episode of TV in April over the next few days but decided instead that Raw and SmackDown will be airing live from the Performance Center going forward.
  • Per the Observer, AJ Styles is expected to be “out of action” to sell the Boneyard match where he was buried.
  • Charlotte Flair was given the NXT title because there is a belief a main roster star is needed to help with ratings against AEW on Wednesday night, says the WON.
  • Angelina Love signed a new contract with Ring of Honor, according to the Wrestling Observer.
