Rumor Roundup (April 1, 2020): Kairi Sane, WrestleMania 36, Montez Ford dive, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Observer says Kairi Sane has been unavailable for most of the recent WWE tapings, with her being in Japan after getting married, and that’s why she hasn’t been around with Asuka to promote WrestleMania.
  • It looks like WWE is going to wait until the last minute to reveal which matches will take place on which night for WrestleMania 36.
  • On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that Montez Ford’s flip dive to the outside where he landed hard on his back on Raw wasn’t planned, as he was supposed to be tripped by Seth Rollins before ever doing the move.
  • Wrestling Inc notes that WWE has canceled all live events in April but still hopes to do shows in May.
  • Per PW Insider, Kylie Rae’s deal with Impact Wrestling happened a few weeks ago.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. And check our weekly Rumor Look Back here to keep track of how often rumors turn out to be correct.
