Jon Moxley opened up this week’s (Mar. 4) episode of Dynamite and talked about how his AEW world championship represented the sport of professional wrestling, which he has dedicated his life to. He told the fans that this belt belonged to them, and they all helped bring pro wrestling back. Therefore he will defend this belt with his life, and there isn’t a man in the industry who has what it takes to pry the belt from his cold, dead hands.
Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle came out for some verbal sparring with the new champion. Jericho guaranteed that Moxley will not leave the ring on his own two feet after tonight’s main event is over. Jericho committed to taking a leave of absence from AEW for 60 days if Moxley leaves the ring on his own two feet.
Tonight’s main event is a tag match pitting Moxley & Darby Allin vs. Jericho & Sammy Guevara. The main event landscape of AEW could be completely altered depending on the outcome.
Is this what it looks like when pro wrestling is back? How do you think this angle will play out?
