AEW Rankings (Mar. 11, 2020): Le Sex Gods break in

AEW released their latest rankings (Mar. 11, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Men:

AEW

PAC passed Cody Rhodes from #5 to #4 with a win over Chuck Taylor on last week’s Dynamite. Cody will get a chance to take back #4 with a match against Ortiz tonight on Dynamite. The rest of the rankings remain the same.

Women:

AEW

No changes in the women’s rankings this week. Even thought Hikaru Shida is #1, she should get some kind of bonus for having to defeat a ghoul on Dark. Her opponent, Abadon, is one of the creepier personalities in the history of professional wrestling.

Tag Team:

AEW

It is time to pop a little bit of the bubbly. Le Sex Gods have broken into the rankings. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara enter at #5. They bounced out Private Party, despite being 2-0. It looks like the win over Jon Moxley and Darby Allin got more weight than Private Party’s win over Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon, even though, Le Sex Gods basically fought a handicap match against Allin when Moxley was choked unconscious before the opening bell. The rest of the rankings remains the same.

Le Sex Gods can position themselves in line for a tag title shot when they wrestle Hangman Page and a mystery partner tonight on Dynamite. A win against Page’s team would look very good for the rankings. If Hangman takes the pin, then that could shoot Le Sex Gods up to the top spot.

We’ll close with Jenn Decker running down the rankings. Decker mentioned that aside from win/loss record, the rankings also take into consideration strength of schedule, overall record, and style points with quality wins.

Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
