ROH plans to crown two new champions in the near future. There will be tournaments held to determine the new title holders for the Pure Championship and the Women’s World Championship. Both fields contain 16 competitors and a mix of worldwide talent.
ROH is bringing back the Pure Championship for the first team since 2006. The first-round matches will take place April 10 in Columbus, OH and April 11 in Pittsburgh, PA. This title has specific rules for its matches. There are only three rope breaks for submissions and pinfalls. After that, holds and pins will not be broken. Closed-fist punches are not allowed. A penalty for such an act can result in counting as one of the three rope breaks. A title change can be earned by countout or disqualification.

ROH is ushering in the new Women’s World Championship to replace the vacated Women of Honor World Championship. Kelly Klein had previously held the Women of Honor belt, but changes were made when her contract was not renewed under suspicious circumstances. First-round matches will take place on April 24 in Philadelphia, PA.
