With Wrestle Kingdom 14 firmly in our rear view mirror, we’re moving on to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual February spectacular!

This year, New Beginning is split up into three shows, same as last year. All three shows, naturally, will air live and in full on NJPW World, so why not watch along with the best pro wrestling community on the internet?

Today’s action takes place in Osaka’s Osaka-jo Hall, kicking off at 2AM Eastern / 11PM Pacific, and is headlined by a double main event of Jon Moxley defending his IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against noted murder grandpa Minoru Suzuki, and Tetsuya Naito defending both the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship against KENTA.

Manabu Nakanishi, TenCozy (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima), & Yuji Nagata over Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma), Ryusuke Taguchi, & Toa Henare by pinfall with a Cozy Lariat from Kojima on Honma.

Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) (c) over Suzuki-gun (El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) with Strong X on Kanemaru to retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

Post-match, Ryusuke Taguchi came down and talked about how Rocky Romero isn’t just a great coach, he’s a wrestler, and he wants him to challenge RPG3K for the titles with him.

FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson), Hiroshi Tanahashi, & Kota Ibushi over Bullet Club (Chase Owens, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, & Yujiro Takahashi) by pinfall with a schoolboy pin from Tanahashi on Loa.

Wrestle Dynasty is announced as the next Madison Square Garden show, to be taking place on August 22.

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay) over Suzuki-gun (Taichi & Zack Sabre, Jr.) by pinfall with a Rainmaker from Okada on Taichi.

“Switchblade” Jay White over SANADA by pinfall with Blade Runner.

Hiromu Takahashi (c) over Ryu “Dragon” Lee by pinfall with Time Bomb to retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Jon Moxley (c) over Minoru Suzuki by pinfall with Death Rider to retain the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

Post-match, Zack Sabre, Jr. ran down and attacked Mox, choking him out and posing with the title, so there’s your next feud. And, dear reader— I am excited!

Referee Red Shoes Unno ejected Bullet Club before our main event could event begin.

Tetsuya Naito (c) over KENTA by pinfall with Destino to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

Post-match, Naito cut the traditional victory promo to close the show and brought up how usually the IWGP Heavyweight Champion faces off against the Junior Heavyweight Champion at the anniversary show next month, so that’d be him and Hiromu.

Enjoy the show!
