@WWE

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre is scheduled to be the main event of WrestleMania 36, says the Observer.
  • The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that WWE is making drastic changes to its house show business, notably by cutting back on running a large number of shows.
  • PW Insider notes there had been plans for WWE to release the tiered version of the WWE Network around Royal Rumble. The belief is it’s still coming.
  • Shawn Michaels is big on Jordan Devlin, per the Observer, and the idea is for him to defend the cruiserweight title across all brands.
  • They also say Io Shirai will likely be out for around two months.
