This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with a 30-minute Iron Man match between Kenny Omega and PAC. This was the rubber match of their feud, with both men each picking up a win in their prior two matches.
Omega went for the One Winged Angel about 2.5 minutes into the match, which PAC immediately countered into the Brutalizer. Neither man picked up a fall from that sequence.
Both men were fighting on the entrance ramp about six minutes into the fight, which is where PAC landed a Tornado DDT into the concrete. PAC was exhausted and could not capitalize for a pin.
Two minutes later, PAC followed up with a devastating brainbuster from the top rope. The crowd rightfully chanted “You killed Kenny!” in response. However PAC was too spaghetti-legged to go for the pin in time, according to Jim Ross.

Overall, ten minutes breezed right by, with the scored tied at zero falls apiece, and Omega taking a ton of punishment as time went on.
After Omega left a footprint on PAC’s chest, Jim Ross was talking about DNA being left all over the place.
Omega then scored multiple vicious knee strikes and a Tiger Driver ‘98 for the closest call of the match up to that point. The crowd was enthusiastically chanting AEW after all the thrilling near falls.
Roughly 15 minutes in, Omega seemed to be setting up for a One Winged Angel from the top rope, but PAC turned it into a powerbomb. Omega recovered for a Snapdragon Suplex and V-Trigger, but it was still not enough to score a three count.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE!

That’s when shenanigans ensued. PAC grabbed a chair from under the ring and intentionally cracked Omega with it, scoring a disqualification fall for Omega. That’s the first DQ in the history of AEW.
The Young Bucks came out to check on Omega, but the 30 second waiting period lapsed and the match continued. Omega was still knocked out, and fell victim to an immediate Black Arrow. The score was tied 1-1 with 13:21 left on the clock.
My god, the insanity did not end when the match returned from commercial. PAC basically killed Omega with a Falcon Arrow from the ring apron to the floor below. Holy shit, indeed.

After a ref bump, PAC grabbed a table from under the ring. He then landed a shooting star press on Omega to the outside, through the table. Both men just barely made it back into the ring in time to avoid the count out, with the Young Bucks offering an assist to their friend.
PAC went for the Black Arrow, but Omega got the knees up, with less than five minutes remaining. Shortly after that, Omega fell victim to a sickening Poison Rana, and then PAC locked in the Brutalizer. The crowd was wildly chanting for Omega. With less than two minutes to go, Omega got a rope break.
PAC tried going right back to the Brutalizer, but Omega locked his fingers together and fought it enough to put PAC on his back. Omega almost got a fall out of it, while fighting for his life.
And that’s how the match appeared to end. Omega refused to give up while being tortured in the Brutalizer, and the match finished with a 1-1 tie.
PAC was furious and took out the ref.
The match was then ordered to continue under sudden death rules! Referee Aubrey Edwards entered the ring, just in time for Omega to score multiple knee strikes. Omega finally nailed the One Winged Angel to put this one away.
Kenny Omega won this iron match by a score of 2-1 in sudden death. This was a truly amazing match that you need to go out of your way to see.
