AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 19

Fellow man, your whole life, like a sandglass will always be reversed and will ever run out again. A long minute will elapse, we’ll always be reversed until all those conditions out of which you were evolved return in the wheel of the cosmic process. We’ll always be reversed, and then you will find every pain and pleasure, every friend and every enemy, every hope and every goddamn error, every blade of grass and every ray of light, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens right into the action!

AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal

All-out chaos to start, as usual, just bodies everywhere and stuff happening, and honestly I’ve got a bit of a headache tonight so I’m gonna take it easy. A couple minutes in the Dark Order call SCU out and point out that Christopher Daniels is nowhere to be seen and...

SCU are eliminated by the Dark Order.

Beaver Boys are eliminated by the Young Bucks.

The Dark Order offer CIMA a mask at one point and he considers it long enough that we don’t see his response. Big boy standoff between Luchasaurus and Andy Williams, trading chops like mad. Private Party and Proud-N-Powerful going at it...

Private Party are eliminated by Proud-N-Powerful.

Jurassic Express are eliminated somewhere in there.

Best Friends and Butcher and the Blade brawling on the floor, Best Friends back inside on the Inner Circle men. Taylor eliminated by Butcher and the Blade and Orange Cassidy saves Trent?! Matt Jackson and Beretta team up to take Pepper Parks out, and it’s down to them, Williams, and Ortiz and Santana. Rainmaker zoom as Jackson hugs Trent but Andy runs ‘em over!

Williams stomping away at Beretta, no elimination, Bunny kicks Orange in the gentleman’s area and...

Best Friends are eliminated by Butcher and the Blade.

Butcher and the Blade are eliminated by Proud-N-Powerful.

Matt Jackson fighting mat, one-on-two, but Ortiz and Santana get the Street Sweeper! Matt hangs on, no elimination, and he’s able to take Ortiz out with a superkick! Guevara eats one, too, and Matt follows it up with a lariat on Santana...

The Young Bucks win, last eliminating Proud-N-Powerful to become #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, the Rhodes family are shown walking backstage.

Kris Statlander vs. Shanna

Shanna with a wristlock, arm wringer, reversed, reversed right back, Statlander out with a cartwheel and then a tijeras before backing her up in the corner for the boop! Trading eye pokes and piefaces, whip across, Kris with a kick and an uppercuts and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Statlander hossing her around, Blue Thunder Driver... NOPE! Shanna turns the tide, Tree of Woe, diving double stomp! Satellite DDT to follow it up, still just a nearfall! A dropkick, still only two, Kris hoists her up...

Kris Statlander wins by pinfall with the wheelbarrow Tombstone Piledriver.

We get a video package recapping Nyla Rose winning the AEW Women’s World Championship last week and go to break.

Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone is on the ramp to introduce AEW World Women’s Champion Nyla Rose.

He congratulates her and she takes issue with being greeted, claiming it’s not worthy of a champion. She says the crowd all sound like annoying bees buzzing around, and the title is justice. She should have been the first champion (damn right), the highest paid woman in the locker room, the face on all the graphics and posters.

But waiting made her hungry, and being hungry made her break bitches. She broke Riho, and cut her strings, and Nyla takes issue when Tony says Riho showed courage. Courage, sure, but Nyla? Nyla represents power, and she’s the queen bee in this hive! She’s only gonna be a one-time champ, because nobody can stack up to her, nobody can beat her, and nobody is a beast but her!

Enter Kris Statlander.

She boops the title and Nyla swats her hand away!

Enter “Big Swole” Aerial Monroe.

She gets in Rose’s face and flexes, which leads to referees coming out to keep the peace.

We get a video package for Jeff Cobb.

Jeff Cobb vs. Jon Moxley

Moxley explosive out the gates but Cobb hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Chops follow, big dropkick sends Jon to the floor and Jeff follows. Mox throwing hands, Cobb smashes his face into the steel steps but Jon returns to the ring and cuts him off with a dropkick before throwing a plancha! Laying chops in on Mr. Athletic, throwing him back inside where he wipes Moxley out with a shoulder block!

Hammer whip, Jon flat on his back, jockeying for position and Jeff hits a hard back elbow before throwing him to the floor and hard into the barricade to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Moxley breaks a waistlock with elbows, off the ropes, slips out of a Tour of the Islands attempt and hits a shoulder kneebreaker in the corner. Posting Cobb’s knees into the ringpost from the floor, returning to the ring and Jeff snaps off a swinging back suplex for two, drawing the cover up before completion! Jon ducks a short-arm lariat and grabs a sleeper hold, but Cobb rams him into the corner to break it!

Waistlock reversed into a leg pick, kneebar applied! Cobb escapes, Mox dives and gets caught... OVERHEAD EXPLODER SUPLEX! Back inside, Oklahoma Stampede... STILL NO! Slip out of the backbreaker rack, diving knee, off the ropes, runs into a lariat! Corner uppercut, superplex, Jon reverses...

Jon Moxley wins by pinfall with a small package.

Post-match, the Inner Circle attack and put boots to Jon Moxley! Dustin Rhodes makes the save but the lights go out! The lights go up...

DARBY ALLIN IS BACK! HE SKATEBOARDS TO THE RING AND UNLEASHES HELL ON THE INNER CIRCLE! RHODES AND HAGER BRAWL ON THE FLOOR! COBB ATTACKS DARBY BUT HE LANDS ON HIS FEET ON THE GERMAN AND MOX PLANTS JEFF WITH A PARADIGM SHIFT! MOX AND JERICHO ARE THE ONLY ONES LEFT STANDING AND WE GOT A BRAWL! Y2J RUNS AWAY AND THE BABYFACES STAND TALL!

And so we go to break.

“Hangman” Adam Page & Kenny Omega (c) vs. Lucha Brothers (Pentagon, Jr. & Rey Fenix) (AEW World Tag Team Championship)

Page and Fenix to start, Rey with punches and a side headlock, shot off, duck the boot, off the ropes, roll throough, thinking Frankensteiner but Hangman blocks with pure strength and drops him with a boot! Into their corner, tag to Omega, a nigh-immediate nearfall, drawing him up, ribbreaker... NOPE! Page back in, trading chops with Fenix, Penta breaks up a pin and Kenny dumps him!

Omega in, fireman’s carry, Finlay Roll, running shooting star, diving moonsault... SO CLOSE! Rey with a rake of the eyes and a kick, forearms on Hangman, tag to Penta. Lucha Brothers working the tag champs over, tijeras on Adam and a monkey flip into Omega! Dropkick, challengers fired up and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Lucha Brothers working Omega over, but he gets his knees up on a splash! Breaking away, tag to Page and he comes in hot with forearms! Whip across, explode with a shoulder block, duck a lariat and catch Penta in a fallaway slam! Plancha wipes Fenix out! Back in, off the ropes, falling lariat... NOT ENOUGH! Double whip, stacking the challengers up in the corner, back body drop, Pentagon with superkicks!

Sling Blade blocked, rolling elbow, pop-up into a German suplex and Fenix is caught on a dive! Rolling elbow, pop-up... HE HITS THE ACE CRUSHER! PENTA WITH A FLIP PILEDRIVER AND THE CHAMPIONS ARE DOWN! Pentagon and Kenny trading chops on the apron, Penta with an enzuigiri and Omega gives him a V-Trigger back! Rey Fenix ropewalk running knee! Pentagon with the underhooks but Kenny back body drops him to the floor! FENIX WITH THE TIJERAS TO THE FLOOR!

Page back inside, discus lariat... AGAIN ONLY TWO! Penta with the Sling Blade, the match breaks down, pop-up powerbomb into a V-Trigger but the Lucha Bros take Page out, Penta Driver on Omega... KENNY OMEGA KICKS OUT! Dragon suplex on Pentagon, Rey dives into a V-Trigger, underhooks... THE TIGER DRIVER ‘98 ISN’T ENOUGH TO KEEP FENIX DOWN!

Electric chair, Rey fights out with elbows, standing switch, blind tag from Hangman...

”Hangman” Adam Page & Kenny Omega win by pinfall with the Buck Shot / V-Trigger combination on Rey Fenix to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial we get an ad for AEW’s action figure line.

We get a video package covering the feud between Cody Rhodes and Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

The steel cage lowers around the ring to send us to breaks.

Cody Rhodes vs. Wardlow (Steel Cage Match)

Circling, Rhodes goes behind and blasts Wardlow with a pump kick but the big man shrugs it off! Go-behind, side headlock, Wardlow throws him off and flexes. Off the ropes, leapfrog, drop down slap, trying to throw Wardlow into the steel but he fights him off. Scoop, Wardlow slips out, Cody with mounted punches in the corner but he gets decapitated by a lariat!

Drawing Rhodes up, Wardlow throws him into the steel mesh! Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Arn Anderson jaw at each other on the floor to send us to break.

Back from commercial and Cody Rhodes is wearing the crimson mask! Wardlow throwing him around while referee Paul Turner tries to get in there and get a look at him! Cody with a delayed gourdbuster, Cody Cutter! Punching his own head wound, fired up, mounted punches in the corner, trying to throw his opponent into the steel and Wardlow kicks him low in the gentleman’s area!

Dumping Rhodes, refusing to cover him, stalking out after him, throwing him through the door of the cage! MJF encouraging Arn Anderson to slam the door on Cody like he did Dusty but Arn smashes Max in the face with it! Powerbomb lift from Wardlow, Rhodes slips out, off the ropes, lariats, shrugged off, he hits the snap scoop powerslam for two! Cody up top, Wardlow cuts him off, military press... AND HE THROWS THE GRANDSON OF A PLUMBER INTO THE STEEL!

MJF directing traffic, Wardlow up top... SENTON ATOMICO ON THE BUTTON BUT CODY WILL NOT STAY DOWN! Rhodes returns the low blow and takes the heavy ring from Wardlow, putting it on! Friedman scales the cage but Brandi attacks from behind with a steel chair! He confronts her and AA throws Max over the barricade! Hard right hand from Rhodes, Cross Rhodes... WARDLOW ISN’T DOWN YET!

The weight belt is off, Cody climbs up top... MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE! IT’S OVER!

Cody Rhodes wins by pinfall with a moonsault off the top of the cage.

Cody celebrates his victory atop the cage while MJF stares on in disbelief.

That’s the show, folks.
