Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone is on the ramp to introduce AEW World Women’s Champion Nyla Rose.
He congratulates her and she takes issue with being greeted, claiming it’s not worthy of a champion. She says the crowd all sound like annoying bees buzzing around, and the title is justice. She should have been the first champion (damn right), the highest paid woman in the locker room, the face on all the graphics and posters.
But waiting made her hungry, and being hungry made her break bitches. She broke Riho, and cut her strings, and Nyla takes issue when Tony says Riho showed courage. Courage, sure, but Nyla? Nyla represents power, and she’s the queen bee in this hive! She’s only gonna be a one-time champ, because nobody can stack up to her, nobody can beat her, and nobody is a beast but her!
Enter Kris Statlander.

Posting Cobb’s knees into the ringpost from the floor, returning to the ring and Jeff snaps off a swinging back suplex for two, drawing the cover up before completion! Jon ducks a short-arm lariat and grabs a sleeper hold, but Cobb rams him into the corner to break it!

Y2J RUNS AWAY AND THE BABYFACES STAND TALL!
And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Lucha Brothers working Omega over, but he gets his knees up on a splash! Breaking away, tag to Page and he comes in hot with forearms! Whip across, explode with a shoulder block, duck a lariat and catch Penta in a fallaway slam! Plancha wipes Fenix out! Back in, off the ropes, falling lariat... NOT ENOUGH! Double whip, stacking the challengers up in the corner, back body drop, Pentagon with superkicks!

The steel cage lowers around the ring to send us to breaks.

Circling, Rhodes goes behind and blasts Wardlow with a pump kick but the big man shrugs it off! Go-behind, side headlock, Wardlow throws him off and flexes. Off the ropes, leapfrog, drop down slap, trying to throw Wardlow into the steel but he fights him off. Scoop, Wardlow slips out, Cody with mounted punches in the corner but he gets decapitated by a lariat!
Drawing Rhodes up, Wardlow throws him into the steel mesh! Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Arn Anderson jaw at each other on the floor to send us to break.
Back from commercial and Cody Rhodes is wearing the crimson mask! Wardlow throwing him around while referee Paul Turner tries to get in there and get a look at him! Cody with a delayed gourdbuster, Cody Cutter!
