Riho put her AEW women’s championship on the line against Nyla Rose this week (Feb. 12) on Dynamite.
These two stars put on a hell of a championship match on the debut episode of Dynamite back in October, where Riho won the title, and they tried their best to up the ante in this rematch.
They told the classic story of power versus speed, with the smaller Riho trying to outmaneuver Rose. This included the classic spot of the babyface running across a table to deliver a lethal kick.

It looked like Riho’s championship reign was coming to a sudden halt when Nyla Rose obliterated her with a jumping knee strike from the top rope. But a nonchalant cover gave Riho the opportunity to kick out.
No sweat, Rose immediately followed that up with a flying death valley driver from the top rope!

The crowd was going completely nuts for Riho when she miraculously got the shoulder up.
Riho then had an offensive flurry of her own, including a northern lights suplex for a very near fall. The champ was determined to put this one away, but a series of double foot stomps from the top rope wasn’t enough to finish Rose.
Rose then got up, speared the hell out of Riho, and planted her with a sit-out powerbomb to win the AEW women’s championship. And with that, Riho’s lengthy championship reign is finally over.
Are you looking forward to see what Nyla Rose can do as AEW women’s champion?
