MJF stops Sammy Guevara from winning his diamond ring

Tonight’s (Dec. 2) episode of Dynamite began with the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal. At least 20 men filled the ring to vie for a shot at MJF’s diamond ring. MJF assured his allies (Sammy Guevara and Wardlow) that the diamond ring belongs to all of them, making it clear that he intended to work together with both of them until the end.

The commentators made it clear that this match would end when two men were left. Those two men will then meet up next week in a match where the winner gets the diamond ring.

There were a few interesting developments throughout the match. The Iconic Matt Hardy eliminated Private Party’s Isiah Kassidy, even though he has been a mentor to Kassidy and Marq Quen.

Shawn Spears and Scorpio Sky continued their feud en route to both being eliminated.

Hangman Page was saved from elimination by the Dark Order outside the ring, who gave him a second chance to win:

Miro cleaned house towards the end with four consecutive eliminations, including Hardy.

The final five wrestlers were MJF, Wardlow, Guevara, Jungle Boy, and Miro.

Miro succumbed to the Inner Circle numbers game, leaving Jungle Boy in one-on-three situation. Guevara and Jungle Boy were battling on the top rope when MJF tossed them both out. Guevara was not too happy with his Inner Circle stablemate for causing his elimination.

It looked like MJF and Wardlow were the final two men left at that point, and would meet up next week for the Dynamite Diamond ring. But the trope of a forgotten wrestler who was never eliminated coming back into the match to win was once again employed here. It turns out that Orange Cassidy was never eliminated, and he resurfaced to eliminate Wardlow.

MJF and Orange Cassidy were the two survivors, and they will meet next week on Dynamite, with MJF’s diamond ring on the line.
