AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 2
His name was always Buddy and he’d shrug and ask to stay. She’d sigh like Twig the Wonder Kid and turn her face away, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show, folks.
The show opens into the intro video.
Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal
Battle royal chaos to start, we get an inset promo where Maxwell Jacob Friedman talks about the ring that’s up for grabs and how happy he’d be to have either Wardlow or Sammy Guevara be finalists that go on to the match for the ring next week. The crowd slowly thins, commentary eulogizes Pat Patterson, Shawn Spears gets eliminated and gets the steel slug from Tully Blanchard at ringside.
Spears stalks around the ring and clocks Scorpio Sky with the loaded glove, leading Wardlow to eliminate him in short order! John Silver dumps Matt Hardy over the ropes but he avoids elimination, as does Marq Quen, who tosses Silver over a low bridge from Hardy to eliminate him! Buckshot lariat hits Quen but Matt eliminates “Hangman” Adam Page afterwards!
Miro and Hardy jockeying for position, Quen goes for Silly String off of Matt Hardy’s back and Miro eliminates both of them and then Joey Janela right afterwards! Final five, Miro, the Inner Circle boys, and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. Inner Circle lads triple team the Best Man but he shrugs them off! Facing Wardlow down, trading heavy hands!
MJF and Sammy return and hold Miro in place while Mr. Mayhem beats him down! Despite his best efforts, the Best Man gets eliminated and Perry finds himself surrounded. Nearly eliminating Guevara with a back body drop, they fight on the apron, an enzuigiri staggers Sammy, Jungle Boy springboards up and Max knocks both of them down to eliminate them!
Wardlow points out that Orange Cassidy hasn’t actually been eliminated and pulls him back inside while Friedman poses. Wardlow scoops him up, Orange throws him into MJF, near-elimination and Max bickers at his bodyguard. Orange Punch staggers Wardlow, one for MJF as well, a third and Wardlow gets eliminated...
Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Orange Cassidy win, advancing to next week’s match for the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
Post-match, Miro and his entourage come to the ring and face off with Best Friends, who have come to celebrate with their pal Orange.
Commentary hypes up the rest of tonight’s card.
Frankie Kazarian makes his entrance to send us to break.
Chris Jericho vs. Frankie Kazarian
Circling, collar and elbow, a bit of light mat grappling into a stalemate. Side headlock, block the shoot off, Jericho breaks free, Kazarian re-establishes but Y2J pokes the eye to break the hold and knocks Frankie to the floor. Kaz with a guillotine leg drop on the apron, fighting off Jake Hager but the distraction is enough for Chris to get a Codebreaker!
With Jericho in control, we go to break.
Back from commercial, Jericho still in control and flexing, laying chops in to back Kazarian into the corner for punches. Whip across, Frankie blocks the bulldog and gets a deep two off a backslide! Chris sees Sammy with the towel in hand, Frank takes advantage, sunset flip for two! Small package for two, solebutt, knee lift, off the ropes... JUDAS EFFECT ENDS IT!
Chris Jericho wins by pinfall with Judas Effect.
Post-match, there’s dissent in the Inner Circle as MJF gets into it with Guevara. Jericho gets on the mic and tells them to stop and gives them seven days to really think about it because next week they’re gonna decide whether they’re all gonna work together as a team, every one of them, or break the Inner Circle up.
Young Bucks are interviewed backstage and they talk about being fighting champions and giving TH2 a match next week. They promise a title match if they can win next week.
Anthony Bowens and Max Caster roll up.
Caster drops a few bars making fun of their book and asking if the Bucks were looking at each other’s dongus and getting hard, just real warmed over 1999 shit that we have no need of.
Anyway, it’s an excuse for TH2 to attack the Bucks and beat them down.
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD gets an inset promo telling Leyla Hirsch that she’s got a one-way plane ticket back to Russia for her.
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Leyla Hirsch
Feeling out, Hirsch with a side headlock takeover, headscissors reversal, back to the headlock, shift to a wristlock, Baker with a snapmare, Leyla with a cross armbar but Britt fishhooks her to block! Basement superkick, and we go to break.

Catch a kick but Britt hits a stomp, break the count, back inside, Hirsch wants the cross armbar and Baker fights it like death! Reversing, looking for Lockjaw, Leyla reverses right back to the armbar!
When that doesn’t work she hits a pump knee and heads up top, but her back is sore and she’s feeling the pain. Rebel running interference from the stage, up and over, Britt with a reverse STO into the middle turnbuckle! Shoving her aside, drawing her up, fisherman neckbreaker connects! Roll-through, applying Lockjaw...

Post-match, Thunder Rosa immediately attacks Baker, beating her down as referee Rick Knox tries and fails to separate them! Referees swarm and pull them apart, Hirsch hits a Saito Suplex on Rebel and Baker and Rosa go at each other again! Road agents Jerry Lynn and BJ Whitmer join the fun and more or less get them pulled apart as we cut to a video package breaking down the Team Taz vs. Rhodes & Allin war.
Cody Rhodes & Darby Allin vs. Team Taz (“Absolute” Ricky Starks & “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs)
Wild brawling to start, Rhodes dropkicks Hobbs to the floor and we go to break.
Back from commercial, the babyfaces are in control on Starks, double-teaming him. Delayed vertical gourdbuster from Rhodes, punches in the corner, a tag and the action goes to the floor where Hobbs destroys Allin with a lariat! Will tags in, delayed vertical suplex connects and he does push-ups to show off!
Working Darby over, targeting his midsection, until a meeting of the minds leaves Starks and Allin both laid out on the mat! Referee Bryce Remsburg issuing the standing ten count, Ricky tags out and Will literally steps on Darby’s back to block the tag! Waistlock, Allin prying at his fingers, reaching, turning, caught in the bear hug! I CAN HARDLY BEAR IT!
Starks stepping on Allin’s throat, eventually he gets away and gets the tag! Rhodes in hot, pump kick lays Ricky out, whip reversed, up and over, snap scoop powerslam and he goes banana! Starks tearing at Cody’s eye, leapfrog, Beautiful Distaster takes Hobbs out, block the lariat, Cross Rhodes denied, kick to the midsection into the dropdown slap!

Cody Rhodes & Darby Allin win by pinfall with a Coffin Drop from Allin on Ricky Starks.
Post-match, Team Taz lays the babyfaces out and attacks Arn Anderson until Dustin Rhodes makes the save! Brian Cage comes down to even the odds. They’re about to beat Cody down with the FTW Championship when the lights go downand we get a tron video of a snowy winter landscape...
STING IS HERE!
He walks to the ring, baseball bat in hand, and sizes up Arn Anderson briefly before getting in Skateboard Sting Darby Allin’s face.
His job here done, Sting returns to his home planet and we go to break.
Back from commercial, commentary recaps Sting’s appearance just now, because no wrestling show is safe from Immediate Recap Syndrome, before moving on to hype up next week’s show.
Hikaru Shida is interviewed backstage about Abadon.
She says she’s not afraid but gets spooked by something clattering in the distance, asks if they can go again, gets informed that they’re live and then excuses herself.
We’re informed that Sting will say words next week!
Jon Moxley cuts a promo outside.
He talks about how special tonight feels and how far they have come, and how he and Kenny Omega feel like they’ve been destined to do this as diametric opposites.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, Don Callis joins us on commentary for our main event.
We get entrances for our main event and go to break.

Back and forth, a Frankensteiner puts Moxley on the floor, Omega off the ropes, Jon slides back in and hits a Bossman Slam! Action to the floor, Omega stops himself short of the barricade and then lands on his feet off a back suplex, kick to the gut, Mox hits a straight suplex!
Jon throws him over the barricade, following after, referee giving them a wide latitude as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Omega is in control and targeting Moxley’s knee on the floor! Back inside, wrenching away at it even as Mox gets a reverse chinlock in the corner. Referee Paul Turner counting, Kenny traps the leg and dropkicks the knee! Desperation lariat lays Omega out but Jon can hardly capitalize on it with a bum knee!
Kenny with a kneebar, clean in the middle of the ring, Mox gets the ropes and forces the break so Omega shifts to a wristlock and alternating chops and leg kicks! Fireman’s carry, Finlay Roll denied, German suplex from the champion! Going for another one, Omega fights out with elbows, Jon improvises into a pumphandle exploder suplex... NOPE!
Crash Landing follows, another nearfall and another commercial break.
Back from commercial, Omega hits a tope con giro! Back inside, springboard countered... PARADIGM SHIFT! Brawling on the floor... PARADIGM SHIFT INTO ONE OF THE RINGSIDE SPACE HEATERS! Turner calls for a doctor to look at Kenny! Officials check on Omega, Don Callis comes to take a look and Moxley decides he’s waited long enough and pulls Kenny back inside! Mounted punches, Callis gets on the stage and on the mic to tell Jon that Omega’s hurt and Mox shoves him down!
Turning, Kenny’s got the mic and he blasts Mox in the face with it while referee Paul Turner is checking on Don Callis! Jon bleeding from the forehead, trying to get himself back up to his feet... V-TRIGGER! ANOTHER ONE! MOX IS HANGING ON THE ROPES AND A THIRD AND A FOURTH V-TRIGGER COME! Electric chair, Moxley out on his feet...
