Smiles all around, we go to break.

Back from commercial, Cody and Brandi Rhodes announce something in a vignette that looked so much like a commercial that I didn’t realize I should unmute my TV until I looked up and realized it was them.

Aha, it seems they’re having a child. Good job, heteros!

Angelico vs. Cody Rhodes

Angelico with a little bit of mat grappling to get to a flying mare and rub it in Rhodes’ face. Collar and elbow, Cody working a wristlock into an arm drag to show off his own skills! Off the ropes, Rhodes blasts him with a big boot, backslide for two, big elbow strike sets up the Beautiful Disaster but Angelico sidesteps!

Post-match, Team Taz come down to the stage.

Taz congratulates Cody on becoming a father, and they call out Skateboard Sting Darby Allin, saying Brian Cage is gonna whoop that ass. And as for as Cody right now, Team Taz is gonna put him on paternity leave.

But first, the lights go down, and when they come up, they reveal Sting and his trusty baseball bat!

Team Taz backs down, the babyfaces all exchange meaningful stares, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get footage of an interview with Miro, who is being fined $75,000 for his actions last week.

He says his problem with Orange Cassidy is that he doesn’t care about numbers— likes, subscribes, and so on— and he figures that fine is just money that Orange owes him. He says he’s going to wrestle Sonny Kiss on Dark next week and then on Dynamite, they’re gonna announce a wedding date for Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford.

Eddie Kingston makes his entrance and says he doesn’t care about any of us.

But he’s here to address his enemies, starting with “the big man up there”, moving on to PAC, who’s back home and nursing his injuries, but he’s not coming back, his career is done. And what about that big goofy bastard Lance Archer?

He makes his entrance and beats Kingston down! Butcher and the Blade make the save! They manage to contain the Murderhawk Monster and the Lucha Brothers come down! PAC is here and he joins the fun as well! They take Eddie to the floor and kick the hell out of him against the barricade! Lucha Brothers work Butcher and Blade over!

PAC and Archer square up and bicker as Eddie and his family retreat.

Dustin Rhodes is interviewed backstage.

He says Seven was a bad idea years ago, and Seven was a bad idea last week. Ten fell last week, and next week, he’s gonna kick Evil Uno’s ass!

Best Friends make their entrance and Orange Cassidy joins the commentary booth for this one, wearing an unplugged headset to send us to break.

Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent?), Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin), & Varsity Blondes (Brian Pillman, Jr. & Griff Garrison) vs. Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, & Santana)

Pillman tags in opposite Jericho to start, collar and elbow, Brian with an arm drag right away! Chris paintbrushes him with a slap, chops and stomps in the corner, choking, whip reversed, Pillman returns the slap! Chops, whip reversed, springboard crossbody into a dropkick, triangle dropkick sends Y2J to the floor!

Pillman dives on him, the Inner Circle square up to back their man and the action goes back inside. Front kick from the veteran, whip into the corner, boot up, scoop and a slam, tag to Garrison, in with a leg drop for two and tensions rise. Jericho backs him into the corner, tag to Guevara, and Griff gets over to tag Dante in!

Whip to the corner, whip reversed, up and over, Darius tags in blind and Top Flight take control. It doesn’t last, Guevara pops Dante with a straight right and he tags out to Beretta.

Friedman demands the tag and covers Garrison...

Inner Circle win by pinfall with a lateral press from Maxwell Jacob Friedman on Griff Garrison.

Post-match, Jericho and Friedman put boots to Garrison until Top Flight make the save and hit them with stereo dropkicks!

Thunder Rosa is interviewed backstage.

She calls Dr. Britt Baker, DMD out and says she’s been wrestling all over the world but Baker had to stick her nose into her match against Serena Deeb and she has to wonder why she’s beating her ass?

Rebel rolls up to distract her before Britt attacks Rosa from behind! Rings of Saturn applied, Rebel pours water on Thunder and Baker scrapes at Rosa’s facepaint.

SCU make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, the Acclaimed make their entrance and Max Caster does some freestyling, mostly about how SCU are old.

Kazarian has a few bars of his own, about how Caster’s rhymes are crap.

The Acclaimed win by pinfall with a lifting side slam from Anthony Bowens on Christopher Daniels.

Post-match, Caster has some bars for the Young Bucks wherein he rhymes “Bucks” with “cucks,” and Bowens tells them that they’ll put the titles on the line next week if they have any balls.

Top Flight are interviewed backstage.

They put Chris Jericho and Maxwell Jacob Friedman over and say they know all about them, but they found out about them earlier tonight, and they remind them of their names and challenge them to a tag match next week.

“Big Swole” Aerial Monroe & Serena Deeb vs. Diamante & Ivelisse

Deeb and Ivelisse to start, Serena backing her into a corner but Las Sicaria explodes back out. Off the ropes, Deeb with a lariat, into the corner, tag to Monroe. Best Friends get a backstage promo.

They say it’ll never be over between them and Proud-N-Powerful, but they’ve got more important things to deal with, like Kip Sabian and Miro. They’re very excited for next week and they’re gonna be there when they announce Kip’s wedding date next week.

A hype reel for Jurassic Express follows, and FTR accost the commentary desk asking why they’d highlight a side show when the heart and soul of the tag division are here live and in living color.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show and remind us that it’ll be postponed until after the basketball game that will take place next Wednesday night.

Joey Janela makes his entrance accompanied by Sonny Kiss to send us to break.

Joey Janela vs. Kenny Omega (No Disqualification AEW World Championship Eliminator Match)

Joey with a tope, whip into the barricade, Kenny with the Kotaro Krusher on the floor, back inside, baseball slide puts Joey into a chair and he follows it up with the Terminator dive as Callis has decided to just add his commentary over a live mic.

Omega with cookie sheet shots, Don gives him a mic to add his own commentary and he runs Janela down before cracking the cookie sheet across his back! Kenny with a trash can shot, handful of pigtails, drawing the Bad Boy up before spiking him down with chops! Kenny Omega wins by pinfall with One-Winged Angel.

Post-match, Don Callis gets back on the mic and says there are no more unanswered questions for the world champion.

Death Triangle make their entrance and PAC gets on the mic.

He says he and Kenny have some unfinished business, but he’s not here tonight to be selfish, no, they are here tonight to address injustice, you understand? Rey Fenix won his match in the #1 contender’s tournament, and he never lost, so explain to him in layman’s terms how, exactly, Omega is the rightful champion?

Callis says PAC is a hell of a talent but he’s no executive, and he has a lesson in the wrestling business for him— wrestlers don’t tell the world champion what to do. PAC says that’s where he’s wrong, because he’s just spoke to Tony Khan and the match has already been sanctioned— Kenny Omega defends the title against Rey Fenix on December 30!

Kenny loses his mind and Callis holds him back, and we’re outta time!

That’s the show, folks.
