Tony Schiavone roasts Impact in latest AEW paid commercial

Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone were back again tonight buying commercial time to promote AEW on the Impact Wrestling broadcast. The Tonys had cheeky fun last week. Schiavone came guns blazing to blast Impact to smithereens this week.

Two lines in particular were extra sharp. The first was in reference to locating the AXS channel on your TV package.

Schiavone: Lesson number one would be where to watch AXS. I don’t even know where to find it. If you ask your smart TV to put on AXS, it says, “Dude, why?”

The second was a shot via SCU.

Schiavone: You know, I asked Daniels and Kazarian, “Remember when Impact had fans when they were TNA?” And they said, “No, we don’t.”

Daaaaamn, son. Schiavone took no prisoners with those jokes. He made Impact look like chumps. It is said that all press is good press, but I don’t know about this one. That’s not the kind of thing that will turn around their LOLTNA reputation cemented in the mind’s of numerous wrestling fans.

What do you think about Schiavone’s comments? Did the jokes go too far in the new relationship? Or does Impact being a punching bag entice you to tune in?
