AEW’s Dec. 2 show is built around the World title clash between champion Jon Moxley and challenger Kenny Omega. That alone would be enough to give the show a theme like “Winter Is Coming”*.
But they’ve also given next week’s Dynamite a big Cody & Darby Allin vs. Team Taz tag bout, and this week they added the second Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal.
MJF won the first edition of the match, and the diamond ring that comes with it, last year. He’ll get a chance to defend his prize next week, competing against Wardlow, Hangman Page, Sammy Guevara, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Private Party, Matt Sydal, Scorpio Sky, Shawn Spears, Orange Cassidy, Miro, and Kip Sabian.
Two other matches were announced on this week’s Dynamite. Chris Jericho will continue his issues with SCU next Wednesday when he faces Frankie Kazarian in singles action. A Britt Baker vs. Leyla Hirsh match has also been booked for “Winter Is Coming” (something has to air alongside the commercials at 9:30 Eastern).
Gather your house, snuggle up with your direwolf, and meet us at Winterfell for the (Night’s) watch party on Dec. 2!
* This Game of Thrones reference is at least two years past its prime, but that’s pretty good for pro wrestling.
