AEW Dynamite preview (Nov. 18, 2020): The Bastard is Back

All Elite Wrestling comes our way live from Jacksonville, Florida. Last week, Taz murdered Matt Sydal, Cody Rhodes tried to be humble while Jade Cargill put him in his place, some barrels of hay got bloodied, MJF & Wardlow joined the Inner Circle, Shawn Spears cheated to win, Tay Conti won without cheating, and The Bastard PAC returned.

This Week’s Headliner:

Last week The Bastard PAC returned and immediately confronted rabble-rouser and current emotional wreck, Eddie Kinston. PAC took the time off he needed, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been watching, and all that watching has got him angry. Angry that he missed out on so much, angry that he couldn’t wrestle, and angry at how Eddie Kingston has been treating his former Death Triangle members.

Tonight PAC takes on The Blade in what is sure to be the first round of Eddie & PAC battle for custody of the Lucha Bros.

The Title Scene:

What’s going on with the AEW Women’s Championship, you ask? Who knows. But at least we’ll have some quality women’s action tonight on Dynamite as current champion Serena Deeb will defend the NWA Women’s Championship against former champion (and current free agent) Thunder Rosa. You know how the old saying goes, “if you can’t figure out your own women’s division borrow another’s.”

Now that The Young Bucks are the AEW Tag Team Champions, they see it as their duty to uphold the AEW tag team division’s growing legacy. To do that, they are bringing in some fresh blood tonight and wrestling the hot young team Top Flight. Will they continue with their benevolent baby face approach, or will tonight be a chance for the duo to cement their dominance at the expense of another team?

Current TNT Champion Darby Allin will team up with former champion Cody Rhodes to face the constant pain in their collective asses, Team Taz aka Brian Cage & Ricky Starks. This will be a test for everyone on who can remain the most selfless and not dick over their teammate. Darby loves to take unnecessary risks, Cody hogs the spotlight, and Cage & Starks both think they should be the next TNT champion. Someone get Will Hobbs out here to calm everyone down!

Kenny Omega is supremely confident that The AEW Champion, Jon Moxley, can only lose if he faces him in a good, ole-fashioned wrasslin’ match. No gimmicks, no blood, no patented Jon Moxley shenanigans. Tonight the two sign the contract for their match. My guess is that Omega will act cocky, and Moxley will put him in his place. No one walks away from a contract signing unscathed.

Other Things to Keep an Eye On:

-Kip Sabian slapped Orange Cassidy last week. Orange Cassidy responded by saying, “cool cool cool,” and walking away. You know what that means? Kip Sabian is a dead man.

Despite rising Covid infection rates, The Inner Circle went to Las Vegas last week to celebrate MJF and Wardlow’s induction. Expect shenanigans and at least one fight to have been broken up. Wardlow is almost at his limit.

Tune into AEW on TNT at 8 p.m. EST to see how this all plays out!
