AEW is celebrating 30 years of Chris Jericho on tonight’s (Oct. 7) episode of Dynamite.
The episode began with current AEW stars talking about what Chris Jericho means to pro wrestling and their careers:

A couple other celebrities joined the parade, as well as a special cameo from Hiroshi Tanahashi, who battled Jericho earlier this year at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14. The ace congratulated Jericho on his 30 year career in pro wrestling:
Lots of love to @IAmJericho from the likes of @Slash, @tanahashi1_100, @DennisDMZ, and of course, Dad #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/o60ctN2IBZ

Prior to the global pandemic, many fans were clamoring for inter-promotional angles between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, but it didn’t seem likely to happen. Do you think Tanahashi’s appearance is a good sign for the relationship between AEW and NJPW, or is it simply a one-off to celebrate Jericho’s career?
