Wrestle Queendom 3 poster Pro Wrestling: EVE on Twitter

Welcome back to the Sermon on the Mat, your weekly one-stop shop for news from the wider world of wrestling beyond the big cable TV monoliths that get all the coverage.

Coming soon...

PCW Ultra Anniversary 2020 (Jan. 10, 8:30PM Pacific)

  1. Artemis Spencer vs. TJ Perkins

  7. Outlawz, Inc. (Eddie Kingston & Homicide) vs. Warbeast (Fatu & Josef Samael) (c) (PCW / DEFY Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match)

PCW Ultra are back in Wilmington, California to celebrate their fourth anniversary and as usual, they’ve pulled out all the stops bringing talent in from far and wide. Most immediately notable to me are MLW’s Hammerstone taking on living lucha legend Muertes as well as Killer Kross vs. Chris Masters, which is not a match I would have ever thought to want, but one that piques my interest all the same.

Get your tickets and check out your options for streaming at their website, folks.

RPW New Year’s Revolution (Jan. 10, 7PM GMT)

  1. Ricky Knight, Jr. vs. Robbie X
  2. Carlos Romo vs. Dan Moloney

RevPro are kicking off their year in Guildford, England and they’ve got a lot of shaking going on as relates to the New Japan relationship. Bullet Club descend to challenge local junior heavyweight standout Oku and Jon Moxley’s protege Shooter Umino, and Shingo looks to build on LIJ’s post-Wrestle Kingdom momentum with a big win over Kyle Fletcher!

ACH vs. Chip Day

From the fine folks over at Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment, we’ve got a match from ACH’s recent return to the indies. He showed up at AWE’s year-ender to challenge the man with the loudest kicks I’ve ever heard in a wrestling match, Chip Day. Check it out!

Besties in the World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett) vs. the Skulk (AR Fox & Leon Ruff)

From the World Wrestling Network, we’ve got an Evolve tag team title match for y’all this week. It’s the Besties the midwest has to offer against AR Fox and his best and brightest, enjoy!

Jordynne Grace vs. Nick Gage

Last but not least, we’ve got a scorcher from our friends over at Black Label Pro. The Ultraviolent King takes on one half of Team PAWG, don’t miss it!

Results

WWN Do or Die 2 (Jan. 5)

  1. Cyrus Satin over Palmer Cruise

As always...

Remember folks, no matter what type of wrestling you like, no matter how down you feel about the state of WWE, Impact, ROH, or any other “big-time” pro wrestling, there’s something out there for you. There’s a pro wrestling product that can hit you in the right spot and make you love wrestling like you thought you’d never be able to love it again. It’s there, I promise. You just gotta reach out and find it, and that, my friends, is what the Sermon on the Mat is all about.
