AEW Rewind: Hug heat between Jurassic Express and Best Friends, Arn Anderson’s analysis, more!

Don’t have time to follow all of AEW’s online content? Don’t worry. We got you covered with the AEW Rewind, which will rewind through social media bits and YouTube videos from the past week to prepare you for Dynamite tonight.

Arn Anderson paid dividends as Cody Rhodes’ manager last week. Arn provided analysis on Cody’s performance in Coach’s Corner. They did their homework on Darby Allin’s daredevil style. Arn also got into analytics. High flying can be 50% great or 50% bad. I think Arn may have a point there.

Meanwhile, MJF is doing work on the squat rack as he waits for Cody’s answer to his stipulations for a match.

“Road to Memphis,” has a music video for the brother fight between Cody & Dustin and the Lucha Bros, hype for Kris Statlander to challenge Riho for the AEW Women’s World Championship, and an interesting explanation from Jurassic Express about how they fit together. Luchasaurus revealed they have hug heat with the Best Friends when Jurassic Express hugged in the ring.

Being the Elite

“This Is For The Juggalos & Juggalettes” - Being The Elite, Ep. 185 (here) featured:

• That internet guy that does crazy wrestling stunts did the “Do ya!?!” routine with Kaz then jumped through a table.
• The AEW crew hung out at the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium for the new year.
• Angelico successfully kicked a 40 yard field goal with Orange Cassidy holding. Evans flipped in celebration.

• Cassidy also did his kick routine on a tackling dummy
• Outtakes of Jurassic Express’ interview with Jenn Decker. Jungle boy had figurative marbles in his mouth by saying titty (tit for tat) and boner (bonafide).
• Leva Bates interrupted Jack Evans eating pie and swapped his plate for vegetables. She then took away Marko Stunt’s video game device and gave him a book. The last part was Bates sitting alone playing video games, eating pie, and drinking whiskey.
• Kenny Omega was chilling with Riho in the hallway. Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford strutted by. They have magical chemistry. Sabian commented about hearing Omega discuss intergender wrestling on, “Wrestlers Ordering Room Service.” Sabian and Ford would proudly hold up the mantle for intergender wrestling in AEW. Nobody can touch them as a team. Omega wished them luck then said something in Japanese to Riho. Ford blocked Riho’s path when she tried to exit and called Riho a b*tch.
• Hangman Page was drinking at the bar. Private Party approached to say may the best team win when they wrestle Hangman and Kenny Omega on Dynamite. Hangman reiterated that he can kick their ass but said he was only joking. Private Party felt he was acting like an a**hole and questioned if they can party with Hangman anymore. They left, and Hangman ordered another drink.
• A Dark Order mask was laying on the front step of someone’s house. A note was attached. “Once you join, you can’t leave.” It was the same mask that someone threw in the trash during a past episode of BTE. Whoever lives there opened the door and picked up the mask.

Sign me up to see Kenny Omega & Riho against Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford. Intergender singles matches are hit or miss (mostly miss) for me, but I like the idea of an intergender tag division. That could be a fun way to get more action for women and lower card men.

Mystery! Intrigue! Oh my! Who does that Dark Order mask belong to? I’d say that portion should be on Dynamite, but it depends on who the reveal is. It won’t matter much if it is another jabrone.
