AEW released their latest rankings (Jan. 22, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

PAC moved up from #4 to #2 with his win over Darby Allin. He’ll be wrestling Jon Moxley tonight on Dynamite to determine the next #1 contender. Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega slid down one spot accordingly. Despite a loss to Moxley, Sammy Guevara remained at #5. That’s lame that there are no consequences for Guevara’s loss.

Nyla Rose leapfrogged Hikaru Shida from #2 to #1. I don’t recall Rose having a match this week, but there were more Dark matches supposedly taped that have yet to air.
Tag Team:

The tag team rankings had the most action. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page moved from #4 to #1 by winning the four-way tag bout last week. Omega & Hangman will get a title shot against SCU tonight on Dynamite. Santana & Ortiz and the Young Bucks moved down one spot accordingly. The Best Friends were booted off the charts from #3 after taking the pin in said four-way. The Dark Order moved in as the replacement. Again, I don’t recall the Dark Order having a match this week, but there were more Dark matches supposedly taped that have yet to air.
The rankings have been pretty stagnant so far in 2020. Hopefully the new show on TNT will provide more opportunity for movement as there should be more matches.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
