NWA announced the full card for their Hard Times PPV taking place on Friday, January 24. It looks wild on paper.

In the year 2020, Scott Steiner will be getting a title shot for the NWA National Championship. Not to mention the original Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will be defending the NWA World Tag Team Champion. Tim Storm is a strong favorite to win the NWA Television Title tournament. Don’t worry. There will also be plenty of talent under the age of 50.

Here’s the full card as advertised:

  • NWA vs ROH: Nick Aldis vs Flip Gordon
  • NWA World Women’s Championship: Allysin Kay (c) vs Thunder Rosa
  • NWA World Tag Team Championship: Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (c) vs Wildcards vs James Storm & Eli Drake
  • NWA National Championship: Aron Stevens (c) vs Scott Steiner
  • NWA TV Title tournament

The TV title tournament had two open spots. Those were filled by Matt Cross (aka Son of Havoc) and Dan Maff. Fantastic choices. Cross is awesomely athletic, and Maff is a beast.

The other six qualifiers are Tim Storm, Ken Anderson, Ricky Starks, Zicky Dice, Trevor Murdoch, and ¿The Question Mark? The full tournament will take place on the PPV.

Here is the tournament bracket:

NWA

The biggest news coming out of the latest episode of NWA Powerrr was the surprise announcement that Marty Scurll will appear at Hard Times. Scurll hacked into the broadcast to send a message. As you can see, Scurll is a master at digital art.

NWA

Scurll is currently embroiled in a heated feud with Nick Aldis that is bouncing back and forth between NWA and ROH.

The Hard Times card is looking pretty sweet. Yesterday, I was interested but not enthusiastic about it. The additions of Cross and Maff to the TV tournament add a perfect amount of spice. Thunder Rosa getting a title shot is awesome. Scott Steiner wrestling Stevens (fka Damien Sandow) should be amusing. I wonder if Steiner will eat a Mongrovian throat strike. I really hope there will be at least one session of verbal jousting between the two.

In the introduction, I mentioned all the aged veterans on Hard Times. Yes, it is kind of silly. But, you know what? I can’t say I’m not intrigued. The Big Bad Booty Daddy is always a hoot. Tim Storm can still rock in the ring. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will be a three-way, so they can stick to the express part of their name and hit moves then move on out of the ring.

Hard Times is scheduled for 7 pm ET on Friday, January 24. It can be purchased through Fite TV (here).

Do you like the full card for NWA Hard Times? Is there enough star power to make you purchase?
