Don’t have time to follow all of AEW’s online content? Don’t worry. We got you covered with the AEW Rewind, which will rewind through social media bits and YouTube videos from the past week to prepare you for Dynamite tonight.
Last week, DDP and MJF shared the ring together for a promo. If you were wondering, MJF actually did tweet when he was on his phone in the corner.
Will this old fart ever shut up?

MJF insinuated that he would take one of DDP’s daughter for a night of passion. Lexy Nair wasn’t thrilled with that idea, so MJF doubled down on the dirty talk.
How about you get under me first sweet cheeks. https://t.co/s9HbWgQ65b

MJF also reminded the world of his plan to pull double duty on Wednesday night.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m going to be sore Thursday morning.
— Maxwell Jacob Friedman™️ (@The_MJF) January 13, 2020
Gotta pull double duty on Wednesday. First, I have to wrestle on @AEWrestling
Then, with Dilly Dally’s daughter back at the hotel.
It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. #betterthanyou #ironman #hero https://t.co/OLQYywZzqc
AEW Dark had a segment honoring the legends of Memphis Wrestling, but it was just introductions. This short video is more enjoyable as the legends went about their day at the event.
Speaking of Dark, AEW posted the two matches from last week in Spanish (here and here). Crack open your notebook and learn some new words. Yeah for knowledge!
Arn Anderson is back with Coach’s Corner. He pointed out a mistake by Cody. Cody tried to wrestle the Lucha Bros’ pace. Once the Rhodes Bros slowed it down, they turned around the match. These Coach’s Corner segments are interesting and a nice touch to the sporting aspect AEW wants to portray.

On the talent scouting tip, Cody Rhodes revealed he has his eye on Chris Bey.

According to Pro Wrestling Wiki, Bey is 23 years old, 5’9”, 165 pounds. He has won at least 6 championships in his young career.
AEW Road to Miami
AEW arrived in Miami for tonight’s Bash at the Beach episode of Dynamite. The, “Road to,” series for Miami features Sammy Guevara confidently planning to punish Jon Moxley for turning down the Inner Circle, Kris Statlander claiming to be in Awesome Kong’s head, and DDP discussing his feelings toward MJF. It is a very strong 8 minutes with emotional promos and quality production.
Being the Elite
“Memphis” - Being The Elite, Ep. 186 (here) featured:
- Nick Jackson showed off his attempt at landscaping to brother Matt. Matt criticized his efforts by making suggestions for palm trees, a hill, and a fence. Nick stormed off. Matt made the inside joke of Nick escaping the toxicity (of Twitter).
- The Young Bucks did a superkick sketch at a Memphis Grizzlies game. Afterward, they found Orange Cassidy roaming the arena.
- The Bucks visited Graceland.
- The Bucks chatted with Lanny Poffo. Kenny Omega’s favorite match of all time is Poffo vs Hulk Hogan.
- Hangman Page sat drinking a beer when his trainer Jimmy Valiant came up. Valiant sounded like Tommy Chong. They caught up on old times. Hangman thanked Valiant for everything. Valiant gave Hangman a pep talk and emotional music played.
- A chair was tipped over on its side. Alien Kris Statlander tried to figure out how to sit on it. Orange Cassidy walked by and picked up the chair. Statlander sat down, then OC booped her nose.

- A freshly showered Hangman seemed a little drunk. He spritzed mouth spray in the bathroom then went to find Kenny Omega. Michael Nakazawa was getting iced down after PAC’s assault. Omega asked Hangman where he was. Apparently, there was miscommunication about Hangman having Omega’s back when he chased PAC. Omega could smell the booze on Hangman’s breath. Omega pep-talked Hangman about their four-way opportunity to win a title shot. As Omega escorted Hangman away, the camera caught Nakazawa looking at the Dark Order website on his phone.
- The Elite broke down the show, then Brandon Cutler walked in. There were asking where he’s been.
- Hangman was roaming around the venue not realizing Omega wasn’t behind him.
This episode set up potential suspects to join the Dark Order. Michael Nakazawa may be in the future, and Brandon Cutler might have already taken the mask.
Count me in for a budding friendship between Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander. If AEW goes forth with a mixed tag division, those two would be a perfect team. I’m also imagining scenarios of OC experiencing new worlds as he travels the galaxy with Statlander.
We’ll close with a couple of musical mashups. AEW picked great songs for these two moments.
.@IAmJericho was probably wishing at this moment that it was all a terrible dream.

Do you like MJF’s potty-mouthed comments? What would you name a team of Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander?
