It was a bummer when Jon Moxley got hurt last summer. Another MRSA infection in his elbow, after a life-threatening one a couple years earlier when he was still with WWE, was the worst and most important thing - obviously.
But it also took him out of AEW’s All Out and a match with Kenny Omega that the new company had been building since Mox’s debut at their first show. For a subset of lunatics like myself, the even bigger disappointment was that it meant Moxley couldn’t face Josh Barnett in a worked MMA fight at Bloodsport II.
Missing that also bugged Jon a lot, for a variety of reasons (context), so he vowed to reschedule...
@JoshLBarnett We're gonna get this one back. I didn't set myself on fire for nothing— Jon Moxley (@JonMoxley) August 23, 2019
And they have!
