Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week’s nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - night two of New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 & New Year’s Dash!!, the Jan. 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday’s NWA Powerrr & AEW Dark, Dynamite & NXT from Wednesday, NXT UK on Jan. 9, SmackDown on Friday, this week’s Impact, MLW Fusion & ROH TV, and any other televised or internet streaming wrestling that aired from Jan. 5 - 11, 2020.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
He held onto it this time...
- He was still only Naito One Belt at the time of the vote, but he led a top ten that was dominated by guys who received votes for what they did at night one of Wrestle Kingdom 14.
- Okay, the guy in second place probably also got some love from the Wednesday before in addition to regaining the IWGP U.S. title. But the then-IWGP Heavyweight champ, the remarkable comeback of the new IWGP Super-Junior titleholder, and the start of a legend’s farewell are all from the Tokyo Dome.
- The Man spit hot fire, and The Fiend showed up to Mandible Claw an old friend.
- The guy the Universal champ broke so badly he turned heel got some love, as did the temporary Raw announcer who turned face by standing up the guy the current champ beat for that belt.
- One of Progress’ founding father’s said goodbye, and one voter threw all their support to him.
