AEW announces new entrants for All Out’s Battle Royale, Tag Tournament semis date

Their Wednesday night rival’s upgrades dominated the conversation today (Aug. 20), but All Elite Wrestling had some news to share.

AEW continued to fill out the line-up for the Casino Battle Royale on The Buy-In pre-show for All Out next weekend. And with this announcement, we now have another couple split by this nascent wrestling war. Big Swole, who wrestled in WWE’s Mae Young Classic as Ariel Monroe and who you may remember from that time she married Cedric Alexander, joins Allie, Britt Baker, Brandi Rhodes, Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, Ivelisse, Jazz, and Teal Piper in the match which will determine a challenger for the new AEW Women’s World championship.

UPDATE: After this post was originally scheduled, All Elite revealed another name. Hers was already announced as an AEW signee, and she isn’t involved with anyone on the WWE roster (to my knowledge):

The Women’s title will be won on the first episode of AEW’s TNT show. That Oct. 4 episode isn’t supposed to have a match in the tournament to crown the company’s first Tag champs, since Young Bucks vs. Private Party on Oct. 9 in Boston was announced as the first match of the tourney. If that’s still the case, it doesn’t sound like it will be a long tournament, because they’re promoting a semi-final match for two weeks later in Pittsburgh:

That’s the first match AEW has announced for their shows in Pittsburgh and Charleston, West Virginia - tickets for which go on sale this Friday.

What do you make of these items? Do they get you refocused on AEW, or do you still want to talk NXT?
