It’s Monday, and that (usually) means a new episode of Being The Elite. Until their weekly show begins airing on TNT some time this fall, The Young Bucks YouTube series is one of two main places we get news about All Elite Wrestling.
As usual, we’ve got gags poking fun at WWE... and this week’s opening one seems to paint the oft-panned Librarians gimmick as a parody of Vince McMahon booking. I’m not entirely sure it works that way either, but the Peter Avalon skit did net us a description of Undertaker & Kane as “the dead guy who doesn’t sell and his burnt up brother,” so I’m okay with it.
“ESCALERA DE LA MUERTE” (Ladder of Death... I didn’t use Google Translate for that, or I would have told you it meant Staircase of Death) features questions being answered in “BTE Mailbag”, A Boy and His Dinosaur and Their Other Boy continuing to be a charming babyface act as Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy welcome Marko Stunt to the team after he’s ribbed by Billy Gunn, and... that’s pretty much it.
Oh yeah! Two tag matches we pretty much already knew about are confirmed for All Out, Sat., Aug. 31 in Chicagoland. Here’s the card for the pay-per-view (PPV) for your perusal while you’re watching this week’s ‘sode, “:
- Chris Jericho vs. Hangman Page for the AEW World title
- Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega
- Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) for a first round bye in the AEW Tag Team championship tournament
- Lucha Bros vs. Young Bucks in a ladder match for the AAA Tag titles
- Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears
