It’s always The Kevin Owens Show here

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV), the July 15 episode of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown & 205 Live on Tues, July 16, NXT UK & NXT and Beyond’s Uncharted Territory from Wednesday, this week’s Impact, ROH TV & MLW Fusion, Evolve 132, New Japan’s G1 Climax shows, and any other televised or internet streaming wrestling that aired from July 14 - 20, 2019.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

You’ll have to sneakier than that to get away from us...

Have to say, other than the winner, last week’s vote didn’t end up the way I thought it would. Guessing it’s a function of there being SO MUCH good stuff going on that ballots were split and outside the consensus #1, there weren’t big gaps between the other top ten finishers.

  • Behind KO, The Man fighting Superstars of both genders on the road to Extreme Rules, and MLW crowning a new World champ (the episode hit YouTube during the voting period... Fusion is a tough one for eligibility) got the same amount of support.
  • Then we had votes for The Man’s Man picking up a win & catching a beatdown on Raw, a quick promo by a joshi who can wear the hell out of some black, more time in the spotlight for Alexa Bliss’ latest friend, and Finn fans just excited to see the Extraordinary Man.
  • Two other former Bullet Club leaders got the same amount of love for good work against good workers.
  • And she came up short in the win column, but Tessa is Forever.

The S3: 2019 - 20, Week 14

1. Kevin Owens
2. (tie) Becky Lynch
2. (tie) Jacob Fatu
4. Seth Rollins
5. Io Shirai
6. Nikki Cross
7. Finn Bálor
8. (tie) AJ Styles
8. (tie) Kenny Omega
10. Tessa Blanchard

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

Where there’s was movement in the 5 - 10 range, but supporting The Man is this year’s one constant...

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week ending July 13

1. Becky Lynch - 80.5
2. Kofi Kingston - 51.5
3. Bray Wyatt - 50
4. Jon Moxley - 47
5. R-Truth - 39
6. (tie) Bayley - 34
6. (tie) Sami Zayn - 34
8. Kevin Owens - 33
9. Seth Rollins - 27
10. Finn Bálor - 25.5

The schedule is pretty much staying crazy for the foreseeable future, so check your notes - or use ours for Exteme Rules, Raw, NXT, SmackDown, New Japan, AEW, MLW, ROH, Impact, Evolve and the rest of the indie world (Sermon on the Mat is a very good resource for that, trust us) - then vote.

That’s the only way this whole thing works.
